Parts of New York around and in big cities had the most. They have the most voters, so the they get the biggest show of force.
The county I am in usually has one State Trooper on patrol overnight. |

I'll tell you a interesting story about this that happend to me,
I was in a NYC subway car in 2003-4? (the day of the big east coast blackout) It was a middle of the day thing in the middle of the week, but we knew sitting in the car in about 3 minutes is was something more serious than the usual hold-up in the subway as it was SILENT. amazingly silent, no fans, no other subway cars running, we could hear conversations perfectly clearly from the road above us.
Anyway about 2 minutes later, in about every car of this nothing special subway train on this nothing special day, at this nothing special time, about 1-2 people reached into their pockets and pulled out their badges.
I was shocked, there are some 100+ trains running at that time day, and there were no less than 10 cops on just the one train I was on.
Moral of the story, there are a lot of cops in NYC |
