I don't think that they are criminals with guns, just worthless bullies with guns and rape whistles. For all you pigs(a.k.a. cops out there) my wife has used the 911 system for the pigs when someone tried to enter our home, still waiting, over 5yrs. ago. In Cent. California if you don't have $, power, or both you r SOL!!!! I have friends that are pd sheriff etc. they know my story and told me I was SOL. Remember you are your only true protection. Been on ride alongs wasn't impressed. If the pigs don't like their job find another one. |

I think blondes are driveling (look it up) Idiots who usually talk out their backsides or use other peoples opinions because they are too dumb to think of an opinion on their own. They are ALWAYS around when you don't WANT them around, annoying the CRAP out of everyone. The only dangerous thing about Police Officers having to carry a Weapon around all the time is: after listening to some teen aged blonde female complainant's whiny A.S.Sed high pitched voice, most Officers contemplate blowing their brains out with their own weapon. |

Actually, Sara, I've met your type all through my 40 plus years in law enforcement. You see something that you didn't really understand and so let your bigotry make up your mind for you. You listen to all the trash talk about cops and rather than do a little research to find out if any of it is true, you just believe the worst. You are guilty of lazy thinking, Sara. You let others tell you what opinions you must have; you do nothing to educate yourself.
How about a little challenge for you. Find out if your local police have a "Ride Along" program. This is where citizens can sign up to ride along with a cop for part of a shift. Do a few of these and you might find out just how wrong you are. |

What a sad bunch of f*cking fools you are. Not all cops are lazy, corrupt cowards. Most do not, in fact, get paid well. You go into a line of work where every person you meet could be the LAST person you meet. You might get out of your car to help someone with a flat tire and BANG, it is over. That is probably why most police officers don't seem too eager to be all buddy buddy with you. And not calling the cops? If 10 fools with guns just walked up into your yard and started shooting up your house and trying to kill your family: are you just gonna sit there? Gonna call some of ypur friends? And do what? Police are trained for this kind stuff and you spit in their faces daily until the sh*t happens to you. You are probably the kind of morons that hate American soldiers too. |

why would you think? that if you are ever in danger who you gonna call? a cop right..... they are here to protect ppl they dont shoot ppl for no reason if a cops life is in danger that is when they will use force and some police departments have changed using guns with using tasers |

Ouch!!! As a police officer I see other "cops" as I do any other profession like athletes, judges, teachers, lawyers etc. When you have people, you have all different types of personalities. You have nice ones, small ones, fat ones, honest ones etc. And UNFORTUNATELY you have liers and "bullies" who take advantage of their position to help themselves either financially or with their egos. This goes with all professions. I also think that you might have had some type of negative contact with the police and it might have been your fault!!! |

Like anything in life, it isn't fair to lump them all together anymore than it is to generalize "all men", "all women", etc. Sorry you seem to have had problems with them but I haven't for the most part, although I did see where some should have been fired where I worked but for reasons I won't go into here, they weren't.
Yes, there are bad officers out there but when they break the law, they, too, get caught, arrested and do jail time. Yes, they have to think like the criminal so they can catch them, especially when it comes to selling drugs, weapons and other things that kill innocent people like me, my husband, my family and even you.
What would the world be like if we didn't have officers out there at all? Give that some thought. There is enough chaos in the world and I hate to think what it would be like if the criminals were allowed to do anything and everything they wanted and there wasn't someone trying to enforce the laws.
I worked with a lot of fine officers and wouldn't trade them for the criminals any day and yes, I also worked with some who had attitudes but many got in trouble because they eventually got caught. But, show me a job out there that doesn't have good and bad people in it. Officers are humans just like you and me. They have the same emotions, the same pains and problems and they sometimes get tempted and go astray but most do not.
And one other thing you need to give some thought to. You can call your friends or you can call the cops but who has the power to arrest someone who may be raping or beating you? Who collects the evidence so you can go to court and see that the person is sent to prison? Who has the authority to take that person off you and take them to jail? Your friends can't arrest and take them to jail and they can't collect evidence that will hold up in court so do what you want but I'll call the officers out and let them do their job and protect me and my family over any friend that could easily get killed because they don't have the training to do what needs to be done.

So true. Cops can sometimes be kurupt and abusive.remember I said "sometimes". Ive heard horrible stories Cops who are abusive to their wives and girlfriends-actually 1 that killed his girlfriend. It was awful. So yes more and more cops are really criminals who wanna feel more powerful. Im not dissing them though! Only some of them are like that. But to answer your question-I would call the cops if something happened like 911 obviously. and then I would call a friend :-) |

Law Enforcement applicants must pass a screening series that tests them psychologically. They are EXPECTED to display criminal behavior in order to be able to "think like a criminal". So in essence they truly are criminals with the authority to behave as such. Watch your back. |

It does not matter if you have to call the cops in an emergency. They get well paid to handle them. It is a service you pay for, but that does not include taking brutality and abuse from them. THAT is illegal
The "only one or two bad ones" defense is not rational. The fact is, those are the ones caught on tape. Gawd knows how many more would surface if those cameras were on 24/7
Coppers don't want you to know this: It is your constitutional right to videotape interactions with the cops, as long as you aren't being arrested, summoned, or interrupting an arrest. Being public servants, their actions are subject to public scrutiny. So, if you suspect abuse during an interaction, you do nothing wrong by taping it. The cop will calm down immediately, and if he whacks your camera, he may be liable for using excessive force and you could be in for some moolah to buy more than a replacement camera, thanks to his uncontrolable brutality!
And as you read the insults here, think of the fact they hate me perpetuating: Applicants who score too high in the IQ portion of the test are rejected. Cops can't be too smart, or they won't be hired! Go figure why they act like they do!
