Great question fella,lets see how long it's on the board!Yes in London and the big city's it is certainly the mass influx of migrants and the black,or Afro Caribbean as they like to call themselves,they behave like animals in the jungle,they seem to have no concept of behaving like other people and building a safe and prosperous area for themselves.From a personal point of view if I was forced to live in some black areas Id either go in jail or emigrate.Let them sort their own crap out as I have nothing to do with any slave trade 200yrs ago. |

First and foremost I blame the government for lacking the moral courage to make a stand against violent offenders.
I also blame dysfunctional families who bring children into this world and raise them without instilling in them respect for others.
I don't personally believe any government figures whatsover. They are massively massaged. We also hear much more from the media in relation to violent crime than we ever did previously.
In relation to your comments about immigration, I can concur with some of your comments and give some undisputable facts in relation to this. I am a firearms officer in one of the larger UK cities. We have intelligence on all the Operational Crime Groups operating within this city and within the county. What is undisputable is that 90% of these people are non-white. They are mainly Jamaican, Somalian, and Asian. They operate in gangs to make money from dealing drugs. They have access to firearms and think nothing of shooting at other gang members. Most of the shootings we attend are gang related. These people do not care. What can we possibly do to them?
Most of these people have previous convictions for violence. There is absolutely no deterrant for them whatsoever. If they were not born in this country then at first conviction I would deport them, regardless of what dangers they faced in their country of origin. Why should we be burdened with them? Why should we suffer? Why should we pay their way? I have no problems whatsoever with immigrants coming to this country if they have something to offer.
Like you have said this country is soft to the point that criminals have nothing to lose. |

Immigration must bear the bulk of the blame for gun and knife crime here in UK.
However, once any of us dare to say as much, we're branded as racist.
Acutally, not all immigrants are black, some are white, in fact a great many are white and come from Eastern Europe where ownership of guns is a matter of fact.

Gun Control is the problem. Gun control takes guns from the honest but the criminals are already criminals. What more do they have to worry about? Not getting busted with a gun, that's for sure. |

The answer is you and me, however unsavoury.
Blaming the Government or police is just a cop out, the custodians of law and order are the general public.
Admittedly the Government have propagated a National demeanour of apathy, hopelessness and powerlessness in order to manipulate the population, but the bottom line is we whinge, whine and just let them get on with it.
The police stand no chance if they do they are damned,if they dont they are damned.In a civilized law abiding society the police can only be effective with the support of the general public, they are citizens as well who stick their lives on the line for a better society for us all. How do we repay them? Silence, failing to accept responsibility and isolation.
The only glimmer of hope that has arisen for democracy is the truck drivers action against fuel prices, the rest of the Nation just dig deeper into their pockets, irrespective of the price and whinge. Confirming to the perpatrators of greed that there is a bottomless source of cash reserved for them. |

I have just watched 3hours of youths,guns,knifes,and violence,it frightens me and the thought of my grandkids futures, and i live in a town in Scotland. I would say 70% of the kids on these progs. were black, we are to soft on imigration and the dogooders live in cookoo land, i aggree send them and ther parents back to the land of their birth if they are caught mixed up in violent acts,think of the benefit mone we would save. |

I made a really valid post last night but yella said they would report it, because they didn't like the truth.
It was about my experience of being in a school with a high black population, and how it attracts hippy teachers who encourage their jungle behaviour. This was when the Conservatives were in power, before we had a national curriculum. It was a nightmare. You wouldn't have known you were in Britain.
We weren't even taught proper English. I had to go to adult education to improve my English.
I have friends from different cultures and the ones who have done the best have been to traditional British schools where English is taught properly.
I don't think Labour are to blame, as I went to France on a coach when the Conservatives were in power and my passport wasn't checked once. I made the same trip recently and it was a lot more strict. I think the difference is that nobody wanted to live here when the Conservatives were in power as there weren't any jobs and public services were the worst in Europe. The Conservatives didn't care about British people as they even stooped as low as taking away free eye tests for old people.
The most sad thing is that freedom of speech as been taken away so much that we all have to say all kids are to blame, when we all know that it's mostly people from certain areas. Why should the good kids get put down with the same label?
I have a friend from India and they were taught better morals and English than taught by teachers who are attracted to rough schools in Britain. |

You have hit the nail on the head there but what to do about it is a quandary. My husband says turn the Isle of Wight into a penal colony and let them run wild there to their hearts content, though I suppose the present occupants would object and I bet the buggers would soon learn how to build boats. Seriously though a penal colony system would be good its just a matter of where to put them orange boiler suits and all. |

I'm on your side. What exacerbates the problems is the sensational coverage given in the media (Press and TV) to all the bad things that happen. This results in many morons, who just want to be 'faymus', thinking that they will make a name for themselves by being bad.
Scrap the more 'enlightened' sections of the Human Rights Act and bring back corporal punishment - in public. Then we will see how brave these scum are.
Make prison a darned sight tougher, too.
Of course, these actions will have no effect on ex-Public Schoolboys, as they already suffer them at school.

Actually the figures are not much different than they were 20 years ago, although there was a big peak back in 1995. The figures then showed a sharp decline until about 2000 and have remained fairly stable since. That's one less excuse for your imbecilic racist foolishness. |

Perhaps Yahoo should look at removing some of these replies.
The biggest factor is more likely to be crime recording rules. Gone are the days when the police were allowed to simply say "Stop being soft and go away" when someone was pushed over outside a nightclub. Everything must be recorded now and that my friends is classed as a common assault. Another figure in the violent crime box.
We are currently waiting with baited breath as 4 southern police forces are trialling not recording minor crimes. A step in the right direction I think. If there are any officers on here serving in one of those four forces it would be interesting to see how it's going. |

In a communist country like England where they brainwash people into thinking that Elizabeth Windsor is a queen, when there has not been a monarchy in England since Parliament passed laws OVER King George in 1824, what do you expect? The same thing is happening to us in our USA, we are being brainwashed about being "the free-est nation in the world" and the beacon of Democracy for the world, when our own government has been sold wholesale to the international corporations who send us to commercial wars around the world and bankrupt our farmers and small businesses so they have to sell-out!
