Why am I scheduled to appear in court this morning?

I checked my court office hours and it says it's Mondays through Fridays 8:00 - 4:30p but i have to show up for court this morning (Saturday).??

You need to go today if that's what the ticket says. They may schedule traffic court on Saturdays, if they have a back log.

When you were given a ticket, the officer placed a date on it. That date is usually 10-21 days after it was issued. What that date means is you have until that date to either enter a plea or ask for a court date. If you do something after that date, you could be fined additional money for failure to appear.

If I was you, I'd show up today, even if they are closed. If they are closed, contact the court Monday morning and explain to them you misunderstood what the date indicated. They will help you and work with you.

Does your citation say that your court date is today? If so it could be an honest mistake by the issuing officer. I would appear first thing monday morning and explain the situation.
