That has never been my experience. The police have always been helpful to me and my family throughout the years. Once, when an arsonist was stalking my house, they did overnight vigils in the woods to catch him, all without my knowledge. They caught him and sent him to jail where he belonged. He had set several homes afire before he was apprehended. Mine was not one of them thanks to the bravery of the local police.

Some individuals abuse power under the color of authority. Some don't. Don't generalize; it's ignorant. |

Seems to me you're the coward for posting this here instead of doing something about the nonsense you think. Was the cop who was shot point blank in the neck and bled to death a coward for going in to the bar that was being robbed when the 911 call went out? He was only trying to get a few hours overtime for his wife and two kids. He's a coward? You don't have any clue as to what those people do everyday to protect idiots like you. And even when they know you're an idiot, they still come to your aid. How cowardly is that? Come back at let us know what you think once you've found a clue. |

Why don't you take a minute and think about how they protected you on 9/11 and then ask yourself if you still wanna call them cowards. Hope next time, if something happens like that no one will be around to save your butt since you aren't grateful for it. |

Yeah, they should be like those courageous criminals. And I suppose you are among those claiming innocence because no-one has yet proved you guilty. |

How convenient for you to b*tch about the police, but if someone broke into your house, who would you call? Ghostbusters? |

They are restricted as to the methods they can use and they are not cowards. At least most of them are not! They perform a very dangerous job and dealing with strung out, druggies is enough to make anyone apprehensive about their welfare. Innocent people do not possess drugs or paraphernalia, and arresting druggies is not entrapment. |

Did you get caught with drugs in the glove compartment that weren't yours? Get over it. |

I disagree with you police are to be commended for the work they do---In all organizations we have a few corrupt people--we can't say that about all police---. |

Coward: a person who lacks courage in facing danger, difficulty, opposition. Someone who is easily intimidated. Very fearful.
Police: an organized civil force for maintaining order, preventing and detecting crime, and enforcing the laws.
The words "coward" and "Police" can never go together. Police Officers aren't the ones I consider a cowards... They don't run away if someone points a gun to their head. |

I am glad we have the police to protect us. We would live in a jungle without them. |

IF your doing nothing wrong then you have no reason to worry about being "trapped" and unless your a child under 6 theres no such thing as "innocent" people. I dont see a badge on your chest!

Why don't you ask a cop when you see one. You post this question repeatedly. Why do cowards hide in post should be the question. |

You can't get trapped if you're innocent. The trap wouldn't catch you.... duh. Sorry... rough night... but police officers are not cowards, and if they've caught you or one of your cohorts, chances are strong that you deserved to get caught. I don't call that "deceit", I call it "being smart." |

So you got caught, huh? Good. You probably deserved it. Personally, I'm super glad they're out there "trapping innocent folks" like yourself. Protects me from the likes of you. |

I do NOT see police officers as cowards due to the nature of work they do and for the fact that they help keep the streets safe so your fat @$$ can sleep soundly at night! Sorry if I offend you, but we just had a funeral for a friend of ours today, a fellow officer and brother of the badge, who was shot and killed during a drug bust this week. They are out their busting their butts so you can sit on yours. Have a wonderful weekend. :) |
