Why are black, hispanic more often search, arrested?

I read the newspaper the other day and it was an article about black and hispanic are more often search and arrested US. Study find. Anyone has an educated opinion on this?

Of course it's fair. Example: If you know that a MUCH higher percentage of hispanic drivers are not licensed compared to whites or blacks your going to look for reasons (probable cause) to pull them over and arrest them for not having a license. That just makes sense, there is nothing racist about it. The officer doesn't give a rats behind what color the person is, they just want to get the unlicensed drivers off the streets.

Because, statistically, a high percentage of them are criminals. This is not an unfounded racist remark. It is simple fact, documented by the high percentage of blacks and hispanics that have to be imprisoned because of court and jury decisions that they have committed crimes. Sad but true.

Voice of Liberty
Because Blacks and Hispanics account for the higher percentage of violent and drug-related offences per capita than do white people.

Because white people are the majority, there are more white convicts. HOWEVER according to the difference in populations, the US Bureau of Justice Statistics found that Blacks commit offences SEVEN TIMES more than whites.

For every 100,000 whites, 4 will commit homicide whereas for every 100,000 African Americans, 29 will commit homicide.

How_Would_I_Know
Just a wild guess... but it might have something to do with them having a higher crime rate.

Check the crime stats and you will have your answer. Profiling works guys. Don't dress and act the part, and you will greatly lower your risk of any search.

Easy Answer: Blacks and Hispanics cause more crimes. After they get in trouble, they blame officers for being racist. Minorities complain too much.

Poverty breeds crime. It's certainly not the only cause or a legitimate reason to commit a crime but I would bet if you did the same study and substituted race for economic class you'd get about the same results.

zebj25
It actually has little to do with race, but more with economic status. There are many more blacks and hispanics in poorer areas of the nation. Poorer areas = Higher crime rates, and when they're pulled over in these areas there is a higher percentage of them that were doing something wrong in the first place.

If you live in a major city and all you see on the news are blacks and hispanics being arrested then more then likely that's why. The city i live in is 48% black and only 2% other which includes hispanics and asians. The stats there show more crimes are committed by blacks then hispanics. In the stats of crimes rates here blacks make up 79% of the crimes while whites, asians, and hispanics make up the other 21%. That's just here though. Everywhere is different.

If more are arrested it would be perhaps more committ crimes that can be caught.

Easy, the law is to keep order and to keep things civilized, you are far more likely to be killed by a black person or a hispanic because they tend to act more like animals than human beings, not all of them, but many of them. Stands to reason that most of them would be getting into trouble anyway just because it is bred into them.

Here's the basics. Cops are rednecks, big city or small town. Cops are also cowards. Add the 2 together. = What would happen if? In America they did that to whites like me? So they have to pick on someone so they pick the most defenseless, the poorest, least educated and those most by statistics to be criminals, OH and they are also the minorities. That makes a perfect victim for sadistic control freaks who went for the job of cop to fulfill their needs of control. Feel their power. Being a cop is like beating a child. There is no sport in it and only losers do it. I fight police corruption because you are only as strong as the enemies you defeat. That is anichient law.

It's called profiling. It might not be fair, but law enforcement still uses it.

An educated opinion................... if these two races had education - they wouldn't be in trouble all the time.
