I think that you need to slow down and obey the speed limit. |

To catch speeders!
Life isn't fair. |

I assume they are looking for traffic violators such as speeders, aggressive driving, drunk driving, etc. If you drive like a normal person, you'll have nothing to worry about. |

it's unfair?
don't to the crime if you can't do the time.
i fail to see how it's unfair. |

Unfair? So if you decide to attempt to rob your local convenience store, would it be unfair for a plain clothes detective to be in the store and apprehend you?
I'm glad Michigan is attempting to cut down on aggressive drivers. Obey the traffic laws and you won't have a thing to worry about. |

Not if you obey the law, it isn't. |

you know I think the Colour of a police car and the Bar lights can be spotted from a far and Unmarked cars are cheaper. and effective |

There is nothing unfair about enforcing the law. It's not some moral responsibility of the police to warn you that you might get in trouble. |

don't speed and you don't have a problem...you have a lot more of a chance of living if u hit a car at 55 mph instead of 80 or whatever ur doing |

How is it unfair? Don't break the law and you won;t get pulled over. If you do break the law you deserve a ticket. The freeways are not your own personal playground. They belong to everyone, and should be safe for everyone to use. |

Yeah, umm upholding the law and risking their own lives isn't "unfair". Grow up |

Its so they can catch people speeding. When they are in an unmarked car that usually means its a police officer that is working plain clothes instead of uniform. But they will still have their badge and gun on them. Its to go into places when they need to get someone out or something and so the person doesnt run from them. Hope that helps. |

Speeding (a victimless crime) is not comparable to robbing a store. Any moron with half a brain can see that.
I think this is unfair, although if they catch you speeding they have every right to ticket you. I think you should at least have the chance to see them looking for you.
Keep your radar decter on and go with the flow of traffic... thats what I do and I speed all the time.
If you do get a speeding ticket always fight it. |

To catch speeders, of course!
They fly around in planes and helicopters too.
Slow down, and then you won't have to worry about whether or not it is fair. |

Try going to Washington. The cops are all in regular everyday cars. Makes it even more likely for one to get caught.
One thing I think is major BS is cops talking on their cell phones. I can't wait for the law to go in effect July 1. |

If they were in their normal patrol cars, then the driver would spot them in advance and slow down. In TX, they drive Cameros, SUV's and trucks, all unmarked. And they will sit in places where they are also well hidden.
But if you aren't breaking the speed limit and/or any other road violations, then it shouldn't matter to you what type of vehicle they are driving. |

So that they can be even more shady! So they can catch more speeders and write more tickets thus making more money for the city and state! |

They have to catch you some how. There's no better way than to be kind of undercover and not on display to catch everyone unawares and doing their worst. Makes for bigger tickets and besides the state and cities need all the cash they can get their hands on.
So be a little more law abiding and you won't get tickets. I know not as much fun or takes longer to get there, but hey it's that or give the state a lot more of your money (like they don't get enough from taxes). |
