Why are handcuffs so uncomfortable?? And why do cops use them?

Handcuffs are used to secure and control a prisoner. They are uncomfortable because they are designed to be strong and difficult to get out of.

If the officers were putting them on tight enough that they caused discomfort, it's probably because you were being difficult. Or the officers had reason to believe that you presented an escape risk.

They hurt because criminals aren't suppose to enjoy the experience and cops use them so you can't attack or run away.

They use them to keep your hands immobilized so you can't try to escape or injure the police officers.

They hurt because they are made of metal, need to be tightly secured to your wrists, and hold your hands in an uncomfortable position.

Handcuffs have to be used to control a prisoner. It would not make much sense to arrest someone and then put him in a car without being restrained. Not everyone is cooperative and if no handcuffs were used a defendant could easily attack the officer.

No clue why they hurt you. Maybe you were twisting your wrists all the time and they tightened up.

that's the most dumbest question I've ever heard. First of all to detain criminals from using their hands to assault an officer or an innocent person. Even some handcuffed criminals can still get away and kill people like Juan Quintero, a sick lowlife illegal immigrant from Mexico, who shot a police officer, despite being handcuffed.

Many reasons. The main reason so you do not punch or hit the officer in the face, otherwise you can get cited for assault to an officer, and that can be a serious crime.

Handcuffs are better than clobbering you on the head with a 2X4 and moving you around strapped on a furniture dolly ............. and much less painful !!

I mean, there is no reason why they couldn't have handcuffs with a little padding to prevent chafing. But, oh no, they like to make you suffer.

they are used to make sure that the convicted person does not attempt to attack anyone (again)
they are uncomfortable because they have to be made cheap cause the coutry's budget doesnt allow them to be carved out of gold
also allows you to have an unpleasant memory
and cops are rough because they judge you while they are handcuffing you

Handcufs hurt because were disigned by the devil, and cops use them because they enjoy torturing people, handcuffs are instruments of torture for cops, other instruments they use are the PR-24 policarbonate baton, the infamous taser and of course the gun to kill the innocent
