like u always see these cases where like a child is missing or something but half the suspects will not take a lie detector test why isn't mandatory that they do???

It is considered a form of self incrimination, so you can not compel anyone to take one, they would have to do it voluntarily.
Contrary to what others will tell you, studies have shown a polygraph is accurate over 90% of the time. However, this is still not good enough to be accepted in a court of law.
They are generally only used in the criminal justice field to develop and eliminate suspects. |
