Why didn't Kristen Stewart get in trouble for smoking pot?

If it was a normal citizen wouldn't they get sent to jail?? I know this is old news, but i just found out about it. Also i'm just using Kristen stewart as an example. Basically all the stars out their have gotten caught smoking an illegal substance, but they never get sent to jail. But a few kids down the street got sent to Juvie for doing the same thing.

I got caught smoking pot by the cops and they let me and my friends all off. They just called our parents and made sure they would punish us (which they did). And you dont get sent to jail for smoking pot. You get a ticket and a court date.
But yes, for the most part, celebrities, politicians, and other wealthy people get away with crimes a normal person wouldnt. Im just saying that in the case of pot smoking, its not that big of a deal all around. |

i'm not sure if this is exactly true but if she lives in California well pot is legal there. I'm just saying that because most stars live. |
