Some people may argue this point, but donuts are a natural source of testosterone, and many cops are always looking for an extra boost and that all important "pump factor." Have you ever seen how some cops look ripped in their tight fitting shirts, i.e., big arms and well defined chest? That comes not so much from working out and lifting heavy iron but from chomping down on good jelly donuts made with real butter; the more the better. If you ever see a cop with a nice physique go up to him and ask to smell his breath; chances are good that you will be able to detect the subtle aroma of a tasty glaze or jelly donut. He may deny it because most cops don't want the average citizen to know their trade secrets, but that massive pumped up body behind a blue shirt stained with powdered sugar and jelly spots is no accident, it comes from years of power eating donuts to get the maximum amount of testosterone in their system. We should all be so lucky! |

Cops eat dounuts because they are generally the first places to open. so cops in the middle of a long shift will go get a dounut to get thru the rest of the shift. and alot of places give us donuts for free. |

That is an old joke about our cops.. Actually I have noticed they prefer Subway sandwiches.. they are always parked at Subways which are located at central points such as convenience stores. They can grab a bite to eat and yet get to where they are needed in a few minutes. That is my guess other than they just are killing time between calls. |

A donught or doughnut is just fried bread really. It's made from bread dough.
Nothing wrong with doughnuts / donuts.
An American friend of mine always has a large plain ring donut smothered in Maple syrup and cream for breakfast. Like he says, "who the hell wants museli for gosh sakes?"

Cops and donuts in America, it's classic.
There is some truth to it, though. Years ago there were not many places to eat at night. For some reason, donut/coffee shops were either the first to open or were open all night long. So in the middle of the night you could often find police officers there getting some coffee and something to eat, killing time on a slow night, maybe even writing a report.
