Because the world is melting into a world of fluff and people think that all of that fluff is better than anything else.
in other words, we are too buisy watching our cable t.v's and using our gps systems that we cant really see that the people who choose people before them are better than celebreties. |

Because society values fluff over substance. |

Because sleeping with people and revealing it to a tabloid whilst posing half-naked is more important than saving lives, duhh.
This is sarcastic, by the way. Just in case someone goes in a hissy fit. |

its a twisted world..
most famous people are completely useless to society but they get paid more than anyone |

Bored now..

I know. The world makes no sense.
Same principle goes for footballers. I don't care how much they entertain people they can't save my life if I am having a heart attack! |

Two word answer: Stupid society. |

I've been asking that question since I was about 10. The people who provide the most value to society, such as cops, fire fighters, teachers, soldiers and nurses ( I don't include doctors because they make plenty ) get paid very little while people like athletes get paid millions for playing a game. |
|

Ñσѕίє

because we are obsessed with celebrity and fame.
its stupid, there should be more events such as the one where footballers donate their wage to nurses or something (sorry only heard about it dont know much about it)
at least it would be a start. |

you're not sorry. </3.

because people don't have their priorities straight! but it drives me crazy....and i think it should be changed |

Because we pay more to be entertained than to be saved! |

because life is unfair, nothing is more important than emergencie workers the put thereselves through medical school etc it costs alot they run up alot of debt but an actress can rake in $1,000,000 per flick or football players being paid way to much that money could be used else where for good but instead we overpay the famous (incase u didnt know this point annoys me) |

Because we have our priorities so wrong! And to think that we are paying for Ross and his millions of pounds as we fund the BBC with our licence fee! |

Because we live in a sad society where people seem to admire those with money than those who are kind and help others for nothing. Idiots say they think people are great because they have lots of money, but if they weren't thick enough to buy the rubbish then the slebs wouldn't be rich. I blame it all on the celeb magazine industry who prey on gullible girls who believe anything or anybody is cool that magazine executives tell them is cool. You only have to see the kind of people on yahoo to realise some young girls do nothing but talk about hair straighteners and celebs, then tart up to go to night clubs hoping to meet a rich man who's as thick as they are such as a footballer, but they don't seem to realise that there aren't many rich men wanting a thick chav like them as there aren't many footballers in the premier league.
The most annoying thing to hear in the world is somebody saying, well they're rich so they must be great. I'm just glad that we're not as bad as the USA as they top the league tables for useless clebs who have many idiots buying their rubbish to help them get rich. I have stopped buying women's magazines as they're full of boring stories of people I don't care about talking about what they had for tea. |

sadly because society is so screwed up these days and no one realises how much they do for us EVERY DAY and people only think about looking good and acting like celebs. |

Because people buy magazines, watch TV, buy the album, buy the t-shirt its all profit from advertising most of the time.
Look at footballers they to me are the scum of the earth, no one should be paid the amount of money they are and they cant even get into the world cup! |

Because while their job isn't as important, there are far fewer people who can do it.
There are a lot more people who can become a fireman or cop than there are who can dunk over a 7' center, or hit a 96 mph fastball 450 feet or chase down and tackle a 225 lb running back who can run a 4.5 second 40, or return a 120 mph serve, or hit an 8 iron 180 yards and land 10' from the pin. Same with actors and musicians and race-car drivers, etc, etc.
We value both those who protect and save us and those who entertain us. I think the cost to us is equal; by being fewer in number, however, it is the celebrity or athlete who gains more.
That's just how it goes. Nobody said life was fair. |

Pleasant Peter Perkins

Because society thinks it is ok to ridicule people for entertainment, because society thinks it is ok to fence children into a small area but turn the rest of public parks over for dogs to sh*t in....and because we have no sense of value, decency, morals, virtues or humanity.
In the end....we get the society and the politicians we deserve. |

b/c rescuing people is not a spectator sport. I'm not going to pay $2000 for season tickets to follow some cop around all day every day. |

You could also ask why they get paid more than people who do everyday jobs....
They get paid what someone is willing to pay. Its as simple as that. |

because people who save lives only help one at a time. people who work in the entertainment industry work with thousands at a time. one person cannot pay as much as thousands of people can. |
