My answer to this is that 99% of the criminals in America are bored. They don't work and have too much time on their hands. Since they have no responsibilities by choice, they probably have no ethics and limited, if any, values... So out of boredom they commit crimes to try to get ahead. They want everything for nothing and the most with very little effort... The only way to accomplish this is through crime.... Since criminals are lazy, they don't take time to think things through.... and this is where they get caught.... I don't know how many times i've been called to a larceny.... on my way there I think, I'm a turd, I just stole some batteries and a 40 ounce of Steel Reserve.... I'm lazy so i'm going to run down hill because running up hill is too much work..... So on my way to answer this larceny call I canvas the easy route for the suspect and 90% of the time there they are runnin downwards with their batteries and steel reserve.... nuff said..... |

Its going to sound funny but the #1 reason is for attention. They are lacking in some area that being caught in a crime makes up for. #2 reason is they are homeless and have no where else to go. They get a bed and 3 square meals a day. |

it pretty much boils down to they think that they are invisible or good enough to get away with it with lower socailail economic classes in higher socialial economic classes they think they can just buy there way out |

most criminals are drug addicts or on drugs when they commit their crimes. Which means their judgment is impared. They think they can actually get away with stealing the 200 lbs Ronald McDonald statue :) |

Each person is different and have a different way of thinking and doing things. We have criminals from all walks of life. They come from the poor to the richest. I've seen rich people who had all the money they need to buy what ever they want but it's not the same thrill of stealing and getting away with it. I hope you can see where I coming from on this matter. There's not one person in this world that is exactly the same. So hopefully with more education and teachings as they grow up will maybe help our society a little better. |

It's a habit and they need the money.
Many low income people steal to eat!

It is because they are addicted 2 such kind of living and they cant help getting out of it.
See,once they get angry. their evil thoughts lead them 2 make a crime and they get away with it (they must hv felt some kind of relief)and they continue doing it more and more like its their lifestyle and if they don't do it (they feel asif something is missing in their life).
