Why do people judge gang members ?

Big brother doesn't like any group that forms that he doesn't have control over. The standing order is to discredit any organization that doesn't serve the "system".

What if a group like that becomes more effective at stopping crime than the "bad boys"? It would be a huge embarrassment to the city/county/state officials wouldn't it?

That is why they like to say, "You are taking the law in your own hands". When in reality we as citizens have the right to arrest the same as law enforcement personnel.

The establishment likes complete control. They send spies to infiltrate any group that they view as a threat to their authority.

Last time I checked the Boy Scouts were never responsible for killing innocent victims or other criminal activities. Gangs are judged harshly and rightfully so. No good comes out of gangs. They are dangerous and just a stain on our communities.

What if these "organizations" kill our children as they walk to school? We do judge members of other organizations. I would not associate with Klan members any more than I would associate with Bloods.

This is NOT the only family/support system that you can find. A family/support system does not require you to be beaten or gangraped to join it. A family/support system does not require you to sell drugs or your body. A family/support system supports you. There are people who will help you.

"Gangs" by an historical reference, have had a negative connotation for years. You don't become a gang member to help beautify a neighborhood, or to raise money for charity. You do it for protection from others and in turn to provide intimidation to other gangs and "civilians" as well.

Everyone gets judged..religious groups,races,over weight people,short people tall people...we all get judged! We judge gang members for raping,murdering,selling drugs and using them! I'd say get a clue!

Most gangs are violent. We aren't talking about eating a worm to be indoctrinated into the group. Most have to commit a crime or murder. So they will be judged for what they are.

Just because you aren't raping, pillaging, etc. doesn't take away from the fact that historically "gangs" are not known for their community spirit by any stretch of the imagination.
You are judged by the company you keep.

most people that are in gangs have a fear that they are weak by themselfs and look to gangs to protect them,most gang leaders take advantage of these weak people and use them to do their dirty work...................

Interesting spin. Let's review. You indicated that gangs are organizations. If you actually believe this let me point out some major flaws with your argument.

I don't remember hearing about the March of Dimes being involved with a "drive by" where a 3 year old girl was shot in the head while she slept "in her own bed". Seems the March of Dimes was "pissed off" at a resident in this small little town because they did not contribute enough monies to their charity.

Gangs are judged for what they are. People have a right to say anything they like in reference to a group such as gangs. The general consensus is that gangs engage in drug behavior through either consumption of or providing drugs, criminal violence, general mayhem and murderous behavior to their surrounding environment. To suggest gangs are organizations is just plain non-sense. I trust that I haven't offended you by simply stating the obvious.

Maybe you should find a support system that doesn't require blood in blood out. Ever thought of that?

By the way, if you think that gangs are the only organizations that are judged by people...you really need to look at the world on a grander scale. The world is bigger than you and your homies on the corner.

I think you're confusing Gangs with a Social Athletic Club. Unless you have positive information on any group called a gang, I suggest you read the newspaper, listen to the radio, or see if you can check arrest reports to see what gangs actually do.

I get it - - this is a clever way to be "cool" and "accepted" by the young punks, thugs, gangsters and addicts, AND keep the responsible adults distracted - cute!!! One tiny problem - we ain't STOOP-ID - - IF YOU WANT TO USE "GANG" IN YOUR GROUP TITLE, YOU ARE ASSOCIATING IT AUTOMATICALLY WITH "CRIME" - - words describe things, humans use words. So far, no GANG has claimed responsibility for anything GOOD or PRODUCTIVE or EDUCATIONAL. This is not a judgment based on emotion, it is a judgment based on EVIDENCE!!! PLEASE, stop trying to RATIONALIZE yourself by telling us: "gasoline isn't true gasoline, it's really water, but we like calling it gasoline - how COULD you say it's gasoline???"

People judge gang members as being very bad people b/c thats what everyone always says ........ But yes i know that there are many good gangs out there and just b/c you are in a gang does not mean you are a bad person. And yes everyone in a gang is part of somone elses family but it sadly to say that people here the word gang and thing bad. Its just wat they belive and thats why they judge it like that. Yes it is all very very sad that people would judge other people just b/c of somthing they do are in but that just how things are. =(

When people are by them self they do not have enough confidence to cause trouble get people into a group or gang if one person starts to cause trouble they usually all start and i have never known of a nice gang or group of people who are innocent be realistic if there in a group hanging on the street they are gona get bored and make some body's life miserable and they just get away with it it is so unfair
