Since when our police became involved with this whole donuts stuffs?
Does the same thing also happen to our military forces?
Our very own army, navy, and air force?

Thanks, UncleRico.
I'd offer a slightly more expanded explanation on a couple of the intelligent answers here:
Yes, cops drink coffee. And in many places (smaller towns, probably), and certainly 15 or 20 or 30 years ago probably just about everywhere, a donut shop had coffee and was open in the middle of the night. Bakers had to get their stuff ready for people to buy first thing in the morning, so that meant being up in the middle of the night.
If it's four in the morning, and you want a cup of coffee, where else would YOU go (if you didn't have a 24 hour Starbucks or something along those lines...which, again, didn't exist a few years back). |

Before 24-hour restaurants were commonplace, the only establishments where a police officer could go during the midnight (aka "graveyard") shifts were doughnut shops which often stayed open 24 hours a day.
So yes, a lot of cops did eat doughnuts when there weren't many other choices available. |

They eat all kinds of things, but that's where they always get spotted, at the coffee shops. And it's something they all can share. |

Cops usually drink coffee and quite often you will find coffee at donut shops. Typically, they get this stuff for free because the shop owners feel as if they are getting better protection by people seeing police in front of their shops. It is a nice way for the donut shop owner to take care of the police. |

Donuts are tasty and quick energy. When you excercise everyday this type of snack can be beneficial.

Nope...Police force's job is too over hype crime rates to make people feel more scared than they should be so they can extort communities in huge civil service contracts. Police have been turning into a racket since the Tammany Hall Days...that's why their major job assignment is ticket people on major freeways who are late for work to meet a financial quota so they can buy stock in Krispy Kreme. Don't get me started on the Widows and Orphans funds. |

I don't really know any cops but did know many troopers before i retired and most wouldn't even drink coffee or eat a donut. |

Most cop haters aren't smart enough to think of anything original, so they have to resort to boring old cliches. |

i don't know for sure it's probably because one fat cop was eating donut's when a car was being stolen right in front of him or something |
