Why do we obey law when it is man made and you don't agree with it.?

Because of the penalty imposed by the law for breaking it.
People with guns show up, and drag you away, and potentially take your money or lock you up. That's the penalty for breaking the law.
Still, many people break the laws and hope they don't get caught. |

Stick and carrot mate. You obey the law because you get a carrot. If you disobey the law, you get the stick.
Your choice. |

Power concedes nothing without a demand. It never did, and it never will. Find out just what people will submit to, and you have found out the exact amount of injustice and wrong which will be imposed upon them; and these will continue till they have resisted with either words or blows, or with both. The limits of tyrants are prescribed by the endurance of those whom they suppress.
Good intentions will always be pleaded for every assumption of authority. It is hardly too strong to say that the Constitution was made to guard the people against the dangers of good intentions. There are men in all ages who mean to govern well, but they mean to govern. They promise to be good masters, but they mean to be masters.
As nightfall does not come at once, neither does oppression. In both instances, there is a twilight when everything remains seemingly unchanged. And it is in such twilight that we all must be most aware of change in the air, however slight, lest we become unwitting victims of the darkness. |

Laws enacted are bound to be followed/obeyed. Some laws have loopholes, defective, outdated and need to be amended by Congress. Democracy is a government of the people, by the people and for the people, favoring social equality to everyone. Laws are proposed and approved by the Representatives and the Senators who are all elected by the the people. These laws are finally approved by the President. We are bound to obey these laws. |

Not everyone does. Hence the fact there's something ridiculous like only a few hundred free spaces in all of Britains prisons. |

Though man is a social animal, he/she likes everything to his/her wishes. Single individual to many... it is the case. Hence, the confrontation in views, thereby necessary for common regulation. |

First of all, if man didn't make our laws who would? Secondly, I like laws, I wouldn't want to live where there is none. Not everybody is going to agree with everything all the time, including laws, but it serves a community well if we all obey them anyway. The only time I've seen problems and disorder is when those laws are not obeyed or not enforced. |

it is the decree of society, and without the rules of society we would live in a world of disorder. We will never agree with all rules set upon us, but most are for the common good. |
