To keep him quiet so it is easier for the guards to handle him. I know it isn't fair, but that is why they do those things, by giving the prisoners privileges like that, they are less likely to make trouble, they stay calm, and behave. |

So long as he's no longer a threat to the public who cares? Prison is only like a holiday camp if you can pack your bags and leave when you please... |
|

yes it is wrong, he seems to have a very comfortable life. means he can while away the time and fill his brain with rubbish telly, rather than being alone and having to actually think about his crime and the consequences of what he did.
Our government is mad and our prisons are like holidya camps.
BRING BACK HARD LABOUR !!! |

To punish him even more. Have you seen the s**t thats on satellite TV? |
|

?
 |
Because the whole blo@dy systems gone mad! |
|

He would probably scream "cruel and unusual punishment" and sue the government, if he didn't have it..........and he'd probably win the suit. |

Plato

I thought he was out of his mind anyhow. |

Probably because he has behaved himself whilst being in prison... I agree it is an interesting reward system for a child killer. |

I dont agree with cable in the cell. Maybe in the pod, but definitely not the cell. I dont even have satellite at home. |

I take it that you don't approve!...
you see the thing is well the thing is those human rights activists.
"JUST BECAUSE HE'S DONE SOMETHING BAD it doesn't make him a bad person" My AR*E!. Oh but lets give him satellite TV probably through in some air con for summer his own heater for winter!. Oh hey they should through in some gym ticket's so he can work out and keep fit not to mention the High Quality food after all they have more money spent on that than any other public sector. |

PUNISHMENT!
All them channels and feck all on? |

I think it's sick, he does not deserve any privledges at all, no one who is in prison does, otherwise why be sent there!
I know someone who works in the prison service and the things he tells me are sickening, they get ps2, they have there own argos style catalogue where they choose the things they want! it's not punishment. |

Well you got to feel sorry for him really, I mean, I know he's a disgusting paedophile and murderer, but he has no friends, no family, and I reckon everywhere he goes in that prison he gets attacked and bullied.
The money we pay on taxes will always be spent on something - we're hardly going to get it back - so I'd rather it were spent on a telly then Tony's next holiday. |

Because in the UK, murdering two little girls gets you a cushy comfortable cell, satelite TV, three square meals a day, education classes and a better standard of life than some people get on the "outside". |

he has not |

Because we are too nice to criminals in this country. |

Okay, I spent 20 months in Prison in Oklahoma. I had no TV, and I worked hard labor most of the time. Why do you people think that all prisons/states are the same? They ARE NOT!
I ate food with "For Inmate Consumption Only," stamped on the box. The Dentist in prison, won't put a filling in, but they will pull your tooth. I had a total starch diet. I lived with mice and lice. Staph infection was running rampid and our families had to call the State Health department and they shut the prison down, until they had cleaned every inch and all of our clothes were washed in some kind of speacil soap from the DOH. Mold in the showers, it was horrible. There was no equipment to exercise with. Federal Prisons are the cushie prisons. Some states may be better than Oklahoma, but it was no walk in the park. Everyone thinks you can get a free education? yes, for the people that don't have a high school education and they HAVE to get their GED while incarcerated. You can get an Associate degree, but it comes out of you families pocket, not the states. As always, after typing this again and again, I was in for forgery, everybody wants to know. Take it from someone that has been down. |

So he could watch TV. |

Maybe because someone, somewhere believes that just because the man is condemned it doesn't mean he is a completely lost cause. |

I know this is a joke. I don't have satellite TV and I am not a criminal. |

don't believe everything you read in the paper. when i was in prison, the only time you got to see a TV was once a week for an hour. and it certainly wasn't sky TV. |
