I think it is because laws have become more strict and small crimes have increased, but I am having a hard time finding evidence of that.

I'm not sure I follow your question.
Isn't the purpose of arresting criminals to lower crime by getting them off the streets?
More inmates would mean less violent criminals on the streets...that is, if you believe arresting criminals accomplishes ANYTHING.

inmate as in prison or just jail. cause here it doesnt much to get you in jail. a failure to appear or pay fines will do it. now as of prison, thats different. And maybe those non violent crimes you speak of drugs. people are always getting picked up on drug charges. and since its really spread out to suburbs and all kind of things. more people more inmates. drugs used to be thought of city thing now its just almost everywhere. almost. |
