Do you have some special insight as to his intentions that the rest of us are not privy to? I doubt it.
It could very well have been an accident.
He probably hasn't apologized because his attorney told him not to make any statements reference the case before the trial. (At least *I* would have told him that if I was his attorney.)
EDIT-
No, he doesn't NEED a lawyer to apologize, but he is paying the guy for legal advice, and is listening to it. I'm not defending what happened. I think that the justice system is working in this case.

I'm guessing Messer didn't apologize because he didn't shoot Oscar Grant. Johannes Mehserle did.
As far as Oscar Grant, he was a convicted felon with prior drug and weapons charges. He never even graduated high school. A real piece of work. I doubt his family even cared about him until they saw the dollar signs in this lawsuit. Now all of a sudden, they portray him as a family man.
Don't be so quick to defend Grant, he would probably rob you and not think twice of it. |
