Why hasn't my speeding ticket that I received 12 days ago been entered into the system yet?

I received a ticket for speeding 12 days ago in New York I tried to plead online however when I entered the ticket number and my name the dmv website said that the ticket hasn't been posted yet. I am supposed to respond within 15 days but don't know what to do could it be that they lost my ticket and I will get off completely?

Your best bet is to contact the courts and ask them these questions. They are the ones who will process your ticket and will know all the laws and regulation. You should also ask the courts if you are allowed to take a driving school class. This will prevent your insurance from going up and points from being placed on your license. Just make sure you get the courts permission before doing so. If you don’t the courts will reject your driving school certificate. Good luck! |

It usually takes a couple of weeks, depending on how backed up the court system is.
Kepp checking daily - next time, talk to the clerk and explain your situtation so you don't get stuck with a warrant for FTA.
