I think every government knows that there is really nothing wrong with drinking in public, but it's the things that people do when they drink in public that are a problem. So that is why they just say all public drinking is illegal. Also, the police may do nothing as long as the person is causing no problems. |

i dont really think there is a good reason. its just another failed government attempt to make society better. they should prosecute people if they commit crimes that harm other people... drunk or not. drinking in public is a victimless crime. |

Be more specific....don't adults go to bars and taverns and consume alcohol? If you asking about drinking a beer in the front yard or walking down the street, that's different. If someone is getting drunk in public, they can pose a serious risk to themselves or others simply by starting fights, falling into the lane of traffic, etc... |

I don't think it is. Can't they drink in bars? And if I'm not mistaken, that's in public. And in restararunts, sport stadiums, etc. |
