Why is it ok to judge all police for the actions of a few but not a race?

Because some people enjoy stereotyping people...but lord have mercy if anyone else stereotypes them....

In my opinion...it takes a little person to lump everyone into one group....

It shouldn't be acceptable. And thank you for bringing this very valid question into play here on YA, if one of the other LEO's would have posted it, one of the bashers would have reported it as it went against their beliefs and it would be gone already!!

I think you missed something, it's also OK to judge people by race and gender as well as long as they're White and Male.

BradL wasn't a slave 200 years ago either so what does that have to do with anything?

Currently in our culture the deprived and abused social groups of the past get to have their revenge.

This includes making police offices who were once respected and honored ( even though some of them may have abused their power) out to be bad people who hold the minorities and poor back.

Not sure I understand the question. Is it your contention that because some people (pick your whatever race you want) question the actions of a few police. Then it should be okay for the police to judge an entire race for the actions of a few?

Thanks for the clarification. It shouldn't be socially acceptable, but as someone else wrote the police used to be respected. But in those days officers for the most part were home grown, protecting the streets that they themselves grew up on. Now most officers don't even live in the same city they work in. Not that it justifies the wrongdoing of citizens but it would probably help with public relations. Just my opinion.

Because some people (insert whatever race you want) need to blame someone else for their problems. If it wasn't for the "police" out to get them because they are (insert race), they would have more opportunities in this world. God forbid they go out and work hard and get a respectable job and pay their bills. Hell no, lets sit on our rear ends and point the finger at why their lives are the way they are. And if someone from their (whatever race) does make something of themselves, well they become the garbage too. It's a sad society that we live in when the people who leave their families everyday to protect others become the bad guys. Ask yourself this. When you leave for work each day, do you ever really have to fear that your day might come to a violent end? Sure it's possible, but it is an everyday thought for the woman & men in uniform. People are just disgusting, especially the cop bashers on this site.

It's not okay but it's pretty much the norm. I know good and bad people from all different races and occupations. I don't base my opinions on groups because of an experience with one individual from a group.

For the actions of a few.(The press dictates how a scenario was played out based upon their presumptive attitude of what they hear on the scanner not in the chase)

But not a race.(It is about race. It is about what and who you. It is about that subject that presents itself to be able to become and issue of a bias. (Profiling Card) to vent hostility upon or against authority. It is with authority that these individuals prescribe of whom they have total disregard, total disrespect and cite their rights against anyone (body) Else's rights. We are interfering with their right to be free, to be able to do, what they want to do, when and if they so chose to do anything against the law(s))

well because if a [good cop] sees a wrong doing by one of his fellow officers he turns a blind eye to it witch makes him a bad cop also.

One bad apple spoils the whole bunch.

Nobody chooses the race in which they will be born, but people do choose what profession they will work in.
