Isn't this proof that banks and stores are greedy and don't trust us, really?

Do you lock the doors to your house? Do you lock the doors to your car? Do you walk around with your social security number drawn on to your shirt for everyone to see? Would you be willing to drop your wallet onto a chair on a bus with your address and phone number on it and then walk away?
Does your answer to these questions prove that you are 'greedy', or does it prove that you take reasonable precautions because you are aware that it only takes ONE person who doesn't respect the law to turn you into a victim?
In the case of an armored car, it's also a matter of risk vs. reward. The sheer value of the 'loot' increases the number of people willing to break the law to get it - and increases the level of violence they are willing to utilize. Seems to me that putting the money in an armored car is the least they could do. |

I think you are saying that stores are "greedy" because they don't want to be robbed, that is kind of dumb..no offense.
The costs of "robbery" and shop lifting get passed on to the consumers any way. |

Honestly, no... banks and stores DON'T trust people...they don't trust anyone... and with good reasons! I'm sure there are trustworthy people, but the ratio is decreasing rapidly. Would you walk around town just holding 2000$ in cash in your hand? No wallet, no purse, just holding the cash? It's the same concept...If you were carting around 500k+ in your car, I'm sure you'd want to feel secure, and have some kind of protection. Not only that. Money drives people to do crazy things! Watch the news for one night, and you'll see it. There are sneaky, conniving, crazy people out there that will go to some pretty scary lengths just for a few thousand bucks! You should see how many of these drivers and carriers are killed a year...just imagine if they didn't have that protection... |
