what about the many here in UK that are shot or die in police custody?thing is the police don't cater for my class, the underclass, who is unemployed and yes their is such a thing as priority policing,I know whole estates were they basically police themselves.Risk life my arxx, there's more chance of me being killed on a building site or scaffolding than a copper being killed, same as Navy or Air force cowboys!! |

Who is asking you to care? Yes they joined on their own will to save you in emergency situations. When you get in a horrible car accident the first cop on the scene should say;
"Why should I care, he is the one who lost control of his vehicle."
Nice attitude buddy. |

That's nasty....whether they joined of their own free will is irrelevant, they're doing a tough and thankless job and should be appreciated for it. |
|

You should care because they care enough to risk their lives in the first place. |

Everyone has choices to make..........be glad they did.......it would be chaos without them. |

Do you feel the same about soldiers dying in Iraq?
You feel their deaths are not tragic since they joined "of their own free will?"
Of course their deaths are tragic. As are the deaths of police. As are the untimely deaths of ALL people. |

did you even think before you wrote that moronic question? i am a nurse. so, if i get HIV or hepatitis B from a needle stick, do i deserve it because no one held me at gun point to go to nursing school? try thinking about what you're saying. |

Why should you care if anyone gets killed? If they didn't want to die, they shouldn't have been born.
Geez, it's called having a heart. If you were a decent person, you should feel bad about anyone getting killed. Especially someone who risks their life to protect others. |

wait what in the world are you talking about what's the point I have a brother that's a cop I will care if he get killed and he risk his live for you and every one else every day and I hope you never need one my brother is the best I'm not just saying this because he's my brother I care for all cops!!!!!!!!!!! |

Yes they joined because they wanted to, but it's a shame to see anyone die at the hands of another. It's called being a human. |

Tell that to the widows of the sodiers who have been shot or blown to bits in Iraq and Afghanistan. Go on ask their opinion. Make it your next stupid question. They joined of their own free will. too!!! |

when some scum bag comes in your home in the middle of the night and pisses off with your TV who you gonna call?
If your g/f / mother got raped (god forbid) and didnt know her attacker you'd ask the detectives to investigate wouldnt you?
As you lay all f**ked up in your car , you'd want the cops there to help you out while the ambulance is en route.....
Get a life bud - what would the country be like without them. |

People are needed to do dirty and dangerous jobs..like firefighting or the police or even the folk that work in mines, oil rigs or trawlers to make our lives safer and more comfortable. Their deaths should not be trivialised by sarcasm or disdain.

when a cop gets killed in the line of duty it was him doing his job to protect society from itself.it is not like any other job and it is very hard tp get hired. lots of schools and tests.they are there to protect society, from itself.if society could be depended on to obey the law then there would be no need for cops.the truth is they are putting their life on the line every shift. they never meet anyone on a good note.they always meet people when they are at their worst.since emotions will run so high then the risk of life is higher.a officer proudly puts on his badge and does the job that other people can not do.in that job their safety is at risk.when the get off duty it does not stop. they can be recognized and well as their family members.you ought to thank every officer for putting his life on the line to protecting yours.

Why should you care if anyone dies?
Seriously, you're not that important, get over yourself. |

They/WE joined of our own free will because we wanted to make a difference and help our fellow man ......even those like you who do not care till they need help themselves. |
|

 |
Because you need them, so you should care.
If they wern't there, there would be nothing to stop you being beaten raped or killed, nor anyone else.
You may think you ar e ahrd guy, but theres always someone worse and he would own you without the cops trying to support the laws.
What esle would you do? rely on lawyers? |

There is no better love than when one gives their life for another. Think about that for a few minutes. |

its all very sad that you feel that way but until we can live with one another we are going nowhere
it is only a job they are doing and i dont think any of them join
so they can be killed doing it
the only thing you get from violence is more violence
and life is much better without it im sure that youll agree |

hmm i agree with pretty much all the comments already made - your a sad pathetic idiot! tell us, what do you do for a living? I bet it doesnt even come close to working in the police force |

You win the award for the most ridiculous assinine statement this week. Yes we love what we do but how that equates to deserving to die is beyond me. And unlike you, we are far more qualified for other work besides "flipping burgers at McDonald's". I know that is the highest point you will reach in your career and you are obviously a whiney little girl who probably just got a speeding ticket or a MIP but don't worry, I promise not to feel bad if you die doing something you did voluntarily.......God forbid people have a career that they love and enjoy.
Get a life little boy. |
