Why the crime continue increasing in London?

Crime is not falling in london/// alot of crimes dont go to court becouse it is up to yhe crown pros service to look at the crime and its got to be 90/ that they get a conviction or they just wont procede with a case.it used to be left to the police to decide..on two occasions i have had crimminals let off for lack of evidence knowing very well they commited the crimes they just laugh at you.. this happen s at least 50/ of the timem./.. the figures are really cooked people.. and thats without the people who dont even bother to report a crime stick your heads in the sand if you want to

Too many cops chasing minor offenders for silly motoring offences. Its alot easier work than being on the streets at 2-3 am. they know where not to be.

Because police officers in London working for the Met have to spend far too much of their time filling in silly forms instead of being out there on the streets, doing it!

I am not a copper, but you ask any copper and he/she will tell you they joined the police to fight crime and maintain law and order on our streets.

I'm sorry to say that in many cases their hopes and aspirations have been dashed due to the heavy politics which surrounds police work today.

I no longer know who my local bobby on the beat is. In the not so long ago past, it was always the case that we all know our local beat bobby. PC 49 or someone or other. Now know one knows or cares. Result, a break down in communictions leading to misunderstanding and misdirection!

cos the internet gives the police more work to do, so they are taken off the streets.
The street jobs are given to people who are not police and the criminals know this, its like open season on crime as they crims can get one over way more easily, realising the consiquences are a mere "peace talk" and wrapp on the knuckles.

the police cells are taken over by drunk people who the community people decide need to be in cells, while the burglers and muggers are doing someone over, turns out theres no room for them when they are caught.

When and if they actually do show up for a hearing or sentencing, there is yet again no room for them. They get the same wrapp on the knuckes- or a few months before the room-sorry- cell- (I forgot the cells are the ones with playstations and hd ready tvs, rooms are like the rest of us have with one tv, one table and a battered old video player) is given to another holiday maker- sorry that was convict.

and criminals dont do ques, they dont play nice, they want in and theres only one way to get in.

Because the law has gone soft , the police are no longer on the streets , and the Govenment are unaware of the proplem as they are more interested in counting all the money they get given by us

Soft punishments for crimes, so people arent scared of commiting crimes. Also i dont think the police are doing the best they can and instead of getting the real thugs, they are getting the easy targets (slightly speeding motorists, a guy smoking a spill and someone dropping litter.) It is about time the police and judges are REAL TOUGH on the big criminals because if they are not going to be, i dont see the crime levels decreasing.

We keep hearing about how the people in the U.K. were banned from owning firearms some years ago. And that's when the crime started to go up. Don't know how true that is. Only criminals have guns? I'd like to know the answer to your question myself.

The greater the population numbers the greater the number of crimes.
London's population is grossly under estimated because there are so many people who don't wish their presence to be known.
Perhaps the increase in the number of crimes could also be used to gauge a more accurate population figure.

Read the stats , the obvious is there but no one will say it because of what you get called for being honest these days.

I don't live in the UK, but I'm under the opinion that your cops really should carry guns. Might be a deterrent to criminals at the least.

Sentences are too lenient.Too many do-gooders who shout about human rights and get people to sue for the least thing. This country is going all to pot.
