Racial profiling, that's all that is

Was the limit 56 or 55? Speeding has nothing to do with racism. Respect the limits and you won't get pull over

What makes you think he was rasist? Just because he pulled you over? Sounds kinda shallow. Sorry, but it is. Think about it. Cops are not going to pull someone over if they are rasist and just give them a warning. They would have given you a ticket. Not to meantion that if you are going 56 mph, it's kinda hard for them to look at your race and get your speed recorded. Don't you think?

Edit: Sounds a whole lot like everyone here who hates cops are the ones who have the issue. I know being a cop isn't a race, but is it really all that different between an ethnic group (race) and a social group (cops). Sounds to me you are the "racist" ones. Just obey the law and you will have no issues.

that was 1 mile above Speed Limit and COps do pull ya over for that.

Also ya did not explain how that Cop was supposedly racist.

Correct me if I am wrong but it sounds like you are someone who hates Cops and likes to get away with breaking laws, am I right or am I wrong? you tell me im just guessing.

cause these cops brains are the size of peas and their iq level is 0. they probably went to school with a c- average and got beat up all the time. so sorry you had to deal with one of those idots.

This is a prime example of what is wrong with society. Instead of claiming responsibility for your actions, you want to play the race card. Instead of exagerating that you were only going 56, be honest. It's not anyone's fault but your own. If he was racist you would not have gotton away with a warning. Grow up, it's people like you that escalade a situation into something it is not.

figaro1912
Nice.. pulling the race card now, are we? Own up to the fact that you have probably sped thousands of times before without getting caught. This time you got caught and instead of owning up to it, you decide that he must be racist from pulling you over, and then you say he had a bad attitude, also. From your question it sounds as if you are the one that has the bad attitude.

It's a holiday weekend so cops are out looking for any reason to pull ppl. Any reason including COLOR!

I HATE COPS!!!! I really really do. I had one pull me over one night because it was 3am and I was the only car on the island (I live on an island). I knew the only reason she (female cop) did it was because of the hour.

She at first said I was speeding then when I asked her how fast I was going, she said she wasn't exactly sure. LOL

I didn't have my license on me because I had misplaced my purse and that bytch actually said 'u do realize I could take u to jail for that?'

DAMN I HATE COPS!! I mean geez she pulls me over for no damn reason then makes up a lie about me speeding cuz I wasn't speeding knowing she was behind me. THEN SHE ACTS LIKE SHE IS DOING ME A FAVOR. OMG they all are arrogants SOBs.

So, I'm with you honey. There is a special place in hell for them all for harrassing innocent ppl.

Wounded duckmate
If he was a racist cop you would be in jail or dead. Sounds like sour grapes to me.

OK these posts are REALLY getting old. Playing the race card when it doesn't make sense. was it 55 or the 55 sign was in sight going out of town and speed limit was really 40?
Of all the officers I've known NONE pull over on speeding based on race. Most cannot see into the car to tell what you are - a speeding car is a speeding car is a speeding car. Black, white, Mexican, Italian or whatever - does not matter.
And on the subject - why is it ok when blacks or other races whine about racist stuff but when it's a white person in a black neighborhood being targeted that is ok? Is that not equally racist? What about when there is for fact targeted enforcement by a black city code enforcement officer (never the "real cops" = full timers). A car sits for three months in front of a house then - when it snowed - was pulled into the driveway and is immediately threatened with impoundment. NO police officer ever said a word about the car parked in front of the house.

The thing is ASSUMPTION that it's racist is slanderous. Assuming things is wrong. I know someone whose son - blonde hair blue eyed - is an officer in CA. A couple of Mexican natives were arrested for drugs - they'd been read their rights and he was taking them to jail when they began talking in Spanish. He never said a word. When they got to the station they were stunned when he walked over to the phone and got a warrant for the location they were talking about ASSUMING he didn't know the language. People figure cops are dumb but what does that make most crooks.
Get off the race card and make something of yourself. The opportunities are there for everyone. Give attitude you'll get attitude every time. They don't have to take it for doing their job and they shouldn't have to.

You're speeding, so he's racist?
You're breaking the law, so he's racist?

You got a break and got off with a warning and still you think he's racist?

Sounds to me like you are the one who needs to do some serious soul searching.

Ok... I don't believe the story here...

I don't know of any police officers that would pull anybody over for 1 mph over the limit.

Why?

1) A judge would throw 1 mph over out in a heartbeat.
2) You can't pace a car at 1 mph over.
3) I don't trust the radar to 1 mph over.
4) It's "mickey mouse" and you'd get razzed by the other guys on shift.
5) Do it more than once and you'll probably be called on the carpet by your captain.

I know of officers that will pull over a car for 5 over in a school zone or residential area (kids playing). But if you write short tickets too often you are considered nitpicking and earn the scorn of your fellow officers, not to mention a lack of trust from the prosecutors and judges.

This story sounds exaggerated.

IF it is true... then PLEASE file a complaint with your the department this officer worked for. Are there people that shouldn't be in law enforcement?... Yes. Do they sometimes make it into law enforcement? Yes. What do we do when we find them? We get rid of them.

That being said. I find the story hard to believe. More often than not, people exagerate their stories for effect because they are simply angry at being pulled over.

Another common occurrence is the claim, "the officer had a bad attitude." Many people confuse an officer being direct and to the point as being rude. An Officer tries to be direct in order to finish the stop quickly. There is no reason for the officer to carry on much conversation with the driver and definitely no reason for the officer to "preach" to them. The officer comes to the window and says "I'm such and such, with such and such department, I stopped you for X, I need to see your license, insurance and registration..." Some people see this direct form of speaking as rude. Would you rather the officer waste 15 or 20 minutes of your time in idle chatter? Another way that we get accused of being rude, is by not listening to excuses. People want to go into these long (fabricated) stories on why, at this moment, it's really ok for them to be going 14 mph over the posted speed limit. And when the officer cuts them off by saying "We've got to keep the roads safe ma'am." and walks back to his car to write the citation... "He was rude to me!" (I wish I had a nickel every time a civilian was rude to me. But's that's neither here nor there)

If it's true, file the complaint. But I suspect that you are just angry and looking for excuses.

It sounds like you are the one with the problem. Stop speeding and they won't stop you. I'm sure you were probably going 70 in a 55.
