I am 17 years old, and this is my first speeding ticket. It happened in Maine which is where I also live. I was driving at a speed of 92 on the interstate which is 27mph over the posted signs (65mph). Luckily I wasn't going 3 mph faster or it would have been criminal speeding. I got a pretty hefty fine which is definitely an eye opener and I have learned my lesson.
I am just wondering if I will lose my license.. I'm pretty sure I will for 30 days but I'm not sure. Please tell me what you know about this for the State of Maine laws and if I will lose my license it will help if you could tell me how long for.

Why are some of you saying 95mph? I clearly wrote 92.
If you were in this situation and someone asked you why were you speeding? Most of the time you don't have an excuse. Everyone just wants to get some wheres faster. I know it was wrong and I have a $263.00 fine to tell me that. Please just try and answer this question without telling me what's right and wrong.

No. The DMV probably won't revoke it however you will probably have points added to your license and you might have to take a class. Oh yeah and your insurance is probably going up... |

Go to court, most likely the judge will decrease your fine, not suspend your license, and may let keep all of your points, if you do not have any other infractions. |

I DONT THINK BECAUSE I AM CURRENTLY GOING THROUGH THE SAME THING AND I JUST PAYED THE BAIL AND IM DONE... BUT NO YOU WONT GET IT SUSPENDED BECAUSE THEY WOULD HAVE ARRESTED YOU FOR THAT...

well i got a ticket when i was 19 two years ago and i was going 97 mph on the freeway, however i live in cali so it's liberal here! lol they just gave me a 150 dollar ticket and i went on about my business! good luck in maine |
