Will arrests made abroad show up on a US background check?

The facts:
1. I was arrested on one misdemeanor charge late last year in the EU
2. I require a criminal background check that will be conducted in the US to work in Asia
3. Will either the US or Asian employer see the arrest that occurred in the EU?

It depends on how much your employer wants to spend on the background check.
If they hire someone to do a background investigation, then yes, they will find out. If they subscribe to some choicepoint database, then probably not. |
