one question that is on my pre-investigative questionnaire asks me if i ever drove under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Unfortunately, I did when i was younger (about 6 years ago). I drove one time under the influence of marijuana. I know it was a stupid idea but like most kids they dont think about the consequences when they do it. You think if i answer yes to the question they'll disqualify me or do you think i still have a chance since i'm being honest and it was long time ago?

Answer yes because its the truth. I do not think that they will disqualify you as long as you express your changed feelings about your previous actions. Do not ever lie about these things because the truth will always come out. A lot of people have made bad decisions in the past, it shows that you have matured since the situation occurred and I commend you for it!

Not necessarily. You'll be polygraphed on the answers in your application. Tell the truth. The certain disqualifying factor is lying. Tell them the truth.

there is the possibility of you not being hired. just tell the truth and admit it was a stupid mistake, then i'm pretty sure you will be fine. So just answer yes.

its important not lie about it. if you lie about it and they find out that you lied, they wont even think about hiring you.
