I'll assume that you're in California from your description. Usually driving while suspended will result if fines and another suspension for a few months, but no arrest. The real risk you run is that in California as well as in my state they WILL impound the car for 30 days and you'll be charged the tow and impound storage fees for that time. That's about 1300 bucks in my state...Calif is probably higher. So....you have to weigh the potential risks/costs against driving suspended.
Best of luck to you and congratulations on the upcoming nuptials.
Feel free to email me if you have more questions.

I wouldnt take the chance. Yes it could happen. In some states driving on a suspended license is a misdemeanor not just a traffic infraction. Not sure what state your in but at the very least he'll wont be allowed to drive away. The car will get towed & he'll get cited. That just makes it even more expensive right? If he has another citation for Suspended Licenses then his insurance will go up & Motor Vehicles can revoke his license as well. My advice would be deal with it NOW. |

If you love your fiance and it appears you do then you should drive him where he needs to gountil you get it all straightened out. If you don't have a license then call on family and friends. Have some patience and it will all work out. |

yes, he will be arrested.
only for day or two, well it depends on where you live.
every state or county has different regulations for driving w/ a suspended license. |

Yes, because even if he has that paperwork, he would still get arrested because his license is still suspended. |

It depends on the state and the jurisdiction (as it does for all crimes).
Based on the details in your question, I am assuming that he does not have any outstanding warrants or tickets but merely is suspended. Simply put, he should find someone else to drive him (or take public transportation) until he can get his license back.
In many states, the penalty for driving while suspended includes mandatory jail time. In addition, the points for such an offense will delay the time until he can get his license back.
For the most part, troopers do not arrest people for driving while suspended but will write a ticket and summons. |

Well, I think the resolution is simple even if it might put a slight glitch in your plans. If his license is suspended, he shouldn't drive until he gets his license reinstated. I doubt if a police officer will accept the DMV printout showing an appointment....because the bottom line is, even with an appointment, there is no proof that he will make that appoint AND his license has been suspended. |

In the eyes of the law, there isen't any excuses.
there.s no excuse for not having insurance, and he was contaced prior to t he end of it.
I don't how long he got it suspended for,but he cain't apply for anything to drive.
The court could care less if your get ting married.
Yea if he is cought again,it.s going to be bad.
The car will b e impounded,he will face a judge
and it will take a lawyer to defend him.
You can help him,and you can drive him around, till
things get settled. the state does have a work driving perment. It' s good to drive to work, and back home again. It requires insurance and the
preaman is HIGH. |

Do not allow him to drive. This is the time for you to help out with the driving or else do not be to proud to ask other family members and friends for help. If he ends up in the slammer you will never forgive him. That's no way to start a marriage. |

Depends on which state he's in and if he's a prior offender. Also, the nature of the offense which caused the suspension could figure into the equation.Unless you're in an ultra conservative state, I think the worst he should expect is a stiff fine. |

If he doesn't get arrested, he should be.
If you don't have a valid license on your person with proof of activated insurance when the cops pull you over, you will go to prison. Maybe for a short while, but I've never heard of anyone being let off with a warning for an offense like that.
Try taking taxis or using public transportation until you can afford it. An appointment with the DMV and insurance information (if not current) will not be good enough for the police. |

It always depends on who pulls em over because some cops are more lenient than others. . .
If he does get pulled over they can arrest him but I have encountered times where they haven't taken people for worse so it's all about the officer that gets ya.
Hope all goes well! |

If he is driving on a suspended license he will go to jail no matter what print out he has. It is illegal and they won't just turn him loose. Do you think once they have him pulled over that they will just give him a ticket and let him DRIVE off on a suspended license? NO, dear, that's not how the system works. There is no way he could not have known he was getting suspended. They send letters out before they suspend, plus the insurance company had to have sent him a couple of bills, so why are you excusing his lies. You need to get this all straight before you get married. It's the smart thing to do. Good luck on your marriage. |
