if it is in Britain , i do not know how he got 14 points without losing his licence, for 12 points means automatic 6 months disqualfied, plus fine.
NOW THE NEWS YOU WILL NOT WELCOME, if in the u.k., then third time for no insurance it is prison sentence , but may well be suspended for something like 2 years or more , then a very heavy fine on top of that , plus a loss of licence for at least two years. SORRY BUT THAT IS WHAT TO EXPECT.
what i do think is that the first offence was 6 points and that as run out , but he as got another 8 points for his second offence, so as i have said , it is a loss of licence this time. |

No sympathy from me I'm afraid. Driving without insurance is a definite NO. You are automatically disqualified if you tot up 12 points on your licence, so having 14 points on his licence he would already be disqualified and any insurance policy that he has in force will be null and void. Disqualification is too good for him because he hasn't learnt his lesson. I've had to deal with many people in my career that have gotten a rough deal by their vehicles being hit by people without insurance. It causes no end of misery. Worse still accidents involving uninsured drivers and injury. |

I hope so. SO irresponsible, what if he had an accident? |

It probably will, considering anything over 12pionts does incurr an automatic ban. |

I WOULD HOPE , SO IF HE HIT OR KILLED SOMEONE WHO WOULD THEY CLAIM OF
I WOULD LIKE TO SEE THE POLICE TAKE THE CAR AND CRUSH IT |

well,
If you Paris you would get 45 days. Then you would get that chopped in half to 23 days. Spends 3 days in jail and 40 days on house arrest! |

It will be a ban(quite a long one as well) and/or a possible jail sentence, plus he will have a huge fine as well. |
|

luke c

sorry to say it but a large fine and maybe time inside if he is very unlucky if he already had 14 points before pulled |

Yes - he will probably have his license revoked, and may get a fine and some jail time. |

Everyone has come to the same conclusion, your husband is being stupid and very irresponsible. Prisons are bursting at the seams, so imprisonment depends on the judge on the day. Definite ban I'm afraid. |

Hi, I'm Bubba. Youse and me are cellmates. Aint that nice? |

Well lets start with a fine , then disqualification, add some time at her majwsties pleasure (no need for you to cook for him for a while (not too bad ).) Oh and he'll probably be making spoons with the remains of your car . |

Hope so. Surely you can't drive with 14 points? Aren't you disqualified at 12? If so he didn't have insurance, despite what you say.
Perhaps you should consider why you married an anti-social moron! |

If he had 14 points on his licence then surely he should have been banned a long time ago.
I was under the impression that once you got to 12 points you'd lose your licence.
Either way, looks like he's gonna get banned. Never mind, he'll get it back eventually, though he may have to take his driving test again. |

I do hope so! It's people like your husband who cause the rest of us to pay more for our premiums.
I hope the car got seized as well.
I would like to know how he managed to get 14 points though when you usually get banned at 12 points. |

he deserves all he gets. |

They were kind to him two years ago. All they'll see is that he still hasn't learned his lesson! Tell him to save up for a substantial fine and above all, not to drive to court on the day of the hearing. |

Hopefully he gets taken off the roads and banned. |

The bank won't have cancelled the direct debit just like that. Looks like they weren't able to pay it because of lack of funds. Someone's telling porkies.
I doubt he has 14 valid points and still has a licence, either some points have expired or he's driving without a licence.
Anyway, this is the third time & he's going to get the book thrown at him, with good reason. Could well mean disqualfication, could also add a hefty fine, could also add community service, or even a spell inside.
Please tell him the general opinion of him on here. |

What's the big difference about driving illegally uninsured and driving illegally while disqualified?
None.
Why would you bank cancel direct debits? Banks don't cancel direct debits, the account holder does. Is your husband telling little fibs to you about the account and insurance payments?
Why don't you tell him to grow up and buy some insurance? |
|

Tmarie99

I hope so. I hope he loses his license too. Neither of you should have your license, if you're not smart enough to remember your insurance.
Banks don't "cancel" direct debits, you did something and the money wasn't there.
Grow up, be responsible. |

With a bit of luck he will get his well deserved ' come-uppance', but today's courts will probably give him a holiday for two at a resort of his choice, if he promises not to do it again until next friday at the earliest. He is a waste of space, with a very tiny brain, if he can't drive properly and safely, he should pack it in and leave the roads safer for us real motorists. |
|

Mojo Risin
|
Yes he will get banned and he probably won't give a sh!t and will keep driving and breaking the law until he kills someone.
Can't you beat some sense into him before he really wrecks yours, his and someone else's lives? |

With 14 points , he should not have a licence , once 12 points have been put on ones licence it should have been taken away.
As for driving without insurance , thats a very big problem , a large fine , disqualiffication and sometimes prison |
|

groovymaude
 |
I think you'll find that technically he is already disqualified. he would not have got insurance and the only reason the DD wouldn't have been paid - if there was one would be lack of funds or the ins. co. not requesting it because his insurance is null and void.
Sounds like he is lying to you. He will also probably be done for no tax, if he produced a false document to buy any. Have you actually seen this licence? |

Unfortunately yes he will get further disqualification, fine and possible imprisonment.
Trouble is with the extortionate amounts insurance companies want of you for any minor indiscretion these days he will be tempted to do it again. Until these money grabbing villains are capped on what they can ask for this kind of problem will rise and rise.
Regarding the mealy mouthed comments by others who are claiming he could run someone over well so could anyone who gets behind the wheel of a motor vehicle and it has nothing to do with motoring convictions. Good Luck! |
