What difference does it matter if they extend the use of torture to pigz? They are not going to use it any more that they allready do. |

Where would you draw the line? Should you be tortured just a little for a misdemeanor and a lot for a felony? Who would decide what crime got what torture? If the cops turned out to be wrong about someone's guilt or innocence, would they be forgiven for torturing an innocent person? Would it be OK to accuse the neighbor you don't like of a crime they did not commit so that they would be tortured? Do you see why we decided to have laws and courts to decide guilt and punishment? |

Check the constitution eighth amendment. That will answer your question. Americans criminal suspects are not the same as foreign terrorists caught on a foreign battle field fighting American troops and plotting to blow up American civilians. No one was tortured. They were made to feel uncomfortable though.
