I'm writing a story about a narcoleptic, who falls asleep at the wheel. What are the consequences for this because he didn't purposefully run her over. It's his condition.

Depends on the situation. The one you described. Did the person know they were narcoleptic? If so, they probably should not have been driving and could be arrested and charged with vehicular manslaughter or negligent homicide. If the person had no knowledge of their narcolepsy then it may be possible that no charges would be filed and it would be a simple accident. However, they would not be able to drive again due to their condition if it could not be treated with meds. |

I am pretty sure people with serious cases narcolepsy are generally not allowed to have driver's licenses.
Which would take the whole thing an illegal step up. |

if a doctor can prove that this person suffers from this condition it might be vehicular manslaughter. meaning it was an accident....person still will be arrested at the scene to remain in custody but doesnt mean charges have been filled immediately. |

most of the time if its an accident they don't.. they just take statements and witnesses and what not. there most likely will be a trial and then the person will be taken to jail if convicted. |

(2) WHAT about this character's driving restrictions?
(3) WHAT will be the legal-story surrounding this character's
accident?
