No, she needs to learn the hard way that her actions do have consequences. Parasite needs to learn she can't just stomp her feet and pout and get away with whatever she wants. If someone wants to be cruel they should play Parisites CD in the LA County lockup. Now that would be cruel and unusual punishment.

I just hope that she learns that being a dumb blond is not what it's cracked up to be. If she has a brain, I wish she'd use it, if only to be thought of as worthy of the resposibilities she will be coming into in the future - IF SHE HAS ONE.

No - Paris should be in jail and she should do the full time. I will put up with the media because it is time moneyed persons face the consequences of their actions. She is an uneducated, spoiled, and very immature. The media needs to be reprimanded for their lack of disgression on the type of news reported. Turn off the news and TV when the media begins reporting this type of trash -- possibly some will get the message and begin reporting important news.

She deserves to be in jail, REGULAR jail for the crimes she did. None of the celebrity status should apply to anyone in jail.

Not pro or anti Paris Hilton here, I'm not into celebrities at all, but I heard on the news the majority of those who do what she did do not serve prison time. Did anyone else hear that? I'm not saying it's the truth, it was on the news yesterday. If that really is the case, I'd look into it if I were her family/attorney/etc. I would like to see the real stats on this, not opinions.

She willingly reported two days early for her term in jail to start. The Sheriff decided she was ill and would be sent home on house arrest. it is his prerogative to do so, that particular jail does have an over population problem. The judge was wrong to make an example out of Paris Hilton for his own sake. I am sure he violated some of the canons judges are to follow. Paris is but a pawn in a fight between a judge and the sheriff. I am not a fan of Paris Hilton, but I am a person who believes justice should be served. An injustice has taken place and she was the recipient of the injustice. she should be where she was placed, in home confinement with an ankle bracelet.

I do not believe she needs to be in jail. I would MUCH rather see that cell being occupied by a rapist or a murderer or a child abuser than someone who is in there for what she is. Have her home on home confinement with a tag on her ankle; it costs the taxpayers less and the cell can be used by someone who truly deserves to be behind bars.
