Ok.
My mom was with this guy for 5 years, when they broke up she took it pretty hard. It got worse when he got with his new girlfriend. When he got with his new gf she started harassing us by calling our home phone and hanging up[i was 17 at the time] Then she started arguing with my mom on the internet, and was wanting to fight my mom[even though the new gf was pregnant at the time!] my mom was very nice to her, and tried to ignore it.
but then things got worse. She would send msg after msg and friends request after friends requests on myspace and FB...she just wouldn't leave us alone...well long story shot....
My mom and little brother are both very sick. My brother has a hart defect, and the new gf would harass my brother as well, even though he was very ill.
She has been "cyber stalking" me for some time now...she just wont leave me alone!!
So i got mad one night and threatened to "beat her up" i blocked her after that...
And out of nowhere she starts up again with all the same stuff, i have asked her to please leave me alone at least 15 times.
I told her i would take her to court for all the harassment, and for cyber stalking. I saved every msg she sent me. Now she wants to press charges for the msg i sent her[that i threatened her]
She wont leave me alone...and her family is doing it to, her father and her sister are doing the same thing...
How do you think this would go in court??

I think a judge would understand your frustration if the amount of harassment you state occurred.
The problem here is that you threatened to take the harassment case to court...but never did. This person pretty much called your "bluff."
My suggestion at this time is file a harassment complaint against them and do as you've stated you would do.
It's kind of like the spousal abuse problem...the violator keeps getting away with it because the victim is afraid to stand their ground and file charges!
Great job keeping all the records of messages sent...they will come in handy as evidence against this other person!! |

I mean yeah.Its a boyfriend and girlfriend problem.I mean, I don't get it get.Isn't your mom supposed to be doing all that.Cause she is depressed.But, I think you mom's ex talks about her alot and the new girl got jealous.Just forget about everything and if it gets worse threaten her that you'll tell the police.Still doesn't work?TELL THE POLICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

Didn't help that you threatened to beat her up, however if you can prove the harassment she has been giving you, I'm sure it will go your way, after all this isn't a little harassment she is giving you, it's A LOT.
Take her to court, or if she takes you to it, do a counter case, and try sue her for the mental damage she has giving you and your family. |

Sounds like if you have the proof to get her for harassment. If I were you, I would probably seriously consider pressing charges for harassment, especially if she presses charges. It's understandable that you would get frustrated with her and threaten her, but obviously was not the best decision. We've all been there.
