I'm 15 and i want to change my name and my social security number. Im no criminal or anything. I just don't want to be traced by my biological father who I only knew when i was 1 year old. I'm about to come into a lot of money and he might try to find me and ask for some and I'd probably fall for it and give him money, which i do NOT want to happen. Will the courts allow this? I also don't want to be traced back to the past...bad childhood. Will this also stop me from being traced?Please help!

you can change your name legally but not the social security number and to do anything in the courts at the age of 15 you need a legal guardian and your past if they are court records usually go away when you become 18,even if you change everything you can be traced someone will know where and who you are |

I feel for you, you will have to call an attorney I really doubt that you can get all that changed but they can do a restraint order.

A new Social Security number will be issued only if you can prove that someone else has stolen your number and is using it illegally. even then social security is hard to convince. you have to prove extreme hardship.
but it's not like you can do any of this at 15 years old. that would be up to your parents. |
