Even though I don't agree with the guy that did it, and though I can SEE why he did it... Yeah, I think time in jail is harsh PERIOD... :/ It's not like he was trying to murder the Former President... He was just trying to convey what he felt and what the rest of his people felt... |

In the UK it would be a £100 fine I would guess.
Bush should do something and get this passionate man released ASAP.
Edit - at the bare minimum he should be made to take lessons in throwing shoes more accurately! |

Yes very.. I mean its the law I guess but I honestly think Bush deserved it.. I kinda wish he would have gotten hit. Though I have to say he made some pretty good dodges... We found his one talent.. dodging things. |

It would be to us, but it is a grave offense in the Muslim world. It is an extreme sign of disrespect. We don't prosecute assault or disrespect like that in this country, but Iraq is a different story. Their are insults and words in the Muslim world that don't even compare to insults and words in the Western world. |

Wonder what would have happened if it was an American throwing a shoe? and what if it wasn't the worst form of insult for Arabs? |
