4 years of serious harrassment from an ex, had enough, what can I do?

As tempting as it is to line her up, and bring her down, is it seriously worth you spending time in jail?

Do you have any children? If so then don't lower yourself to her level of evilness, and think of the children.

May I suggest that you start logging her antics, I mean; phone calls, texted messages, damage to property (take photo's) and so forth. If you have any witlessness's to her antics, then get them to report it to the police.

Contact police and talk to them how you are supposed to deal with a vindictive ex, apply for an intervention order on her, so she can not contact you, come near you and so forth. They may also contact her, and warn her off.

Also contact a lawyer who deals with this particular field of law, "harassment", and give them the information you have logged and collected.

The lawyer maybe able to send her a letter warning her of the consequences of continuing the harassment towards you.

Sorry I can not be more of an assistance, but please DON'T lower your self to her levels, it only make you look worse, and its properly what she wants.

real easy every time you have a problem with her harassing you report it to the cops after a while they get tired of filling out reports and if they harass you report them until they are so fed up they nail her for anything they can wether it happened or not

you need to get sufficient proof that your ex is doing this, then when you have enough, get down your police station and get an injunction, the more proof you have the more her / she can't turn around to the police and say it's lies

No you should not flip out, I had the same for 2 years, he flipped out and is now serving 6 years for assault, you can take out an injunction or contact the police, keep a diary of events but dont react, otherwise you are no better than her.

Sorry but I wouldn't be hassled by anyone for a long period of time. I was married to a wife beater for 2 years when I was young (30 odd years ago) and ran away from this Jekyll and Hyde character to save my sanity and the life of my little girl. I would say move, change your town and reinvent a new life far away. You could always come to Spain there alot of people living here who are running from something or someone. (I'm not one of them by the way!!)
I know some people would say why should I change my life it's her that's being the little shite....well peace of mind is a great thing to have, I'd move anywhere for a happy life, wouldn't you?

go to your local police station,file a report and have them go to where he lives and speak with him and then if it keeps up you go to the local police station and file charges and then you will have to go to court and you can ask for an order of protection stating that he is not allowed to do this anymore

Had the same problem once. Pay a little friendly visit to your local police department. Tell the desk clerk a quick version of the problem. Ask if there is someone you may speak to regarding how best to handle the problem. Most likely you'll be referred to a detective. You can sit down in an office and discuss your options.

The detective I spoke with was cool. He asked me to return with a photo, told me how to have harassing phone calls traced, and I went home to consider which of the three options we had discussed would be best for me to pursue!
