A crime happen in my home city. The suspect they showed the very first time was different from the man?

they caught and put his pics and put him on the news. Do that happen alot. I swear it was a different man, they posted the first time. Anyway I would like to know can the man they locked up proove it and also what about the man they showed on tv. Im not saying he didn't do it. Im saying the picture they showed was a diffrent man. Why isn't that man telling his lawyers that, why is he letting them talk about prelimanary hearings and all that other court talk instead of telling them it wasnt him?

Sometimes the pictures on TV do not look like the real thing. Maybe he was helping this guy you first seen on TV. Usually it is gulity until proven otherwise... But he could be in on the whole thing and he could get a lighter sentence if he tells or whatever against the one they showed on tv
