This has been bugging me:
Lets say a cashier is tasked by his manager daily to give a certain package to a customer - she does not know the content. Later, it would be found out that the content of the package was illegal drugs and that the store is just a cover up.
Would the cashier be considered innocent or guilty of a crime she unknowingly help commit? (she knew nothing except that she was a cashier in a store)

I would say no if she REALLY didn't know. But the police will try and fool her into thinking she did something wrong in order to use her to catch whomever picks up the package. They want to "climb the ladder to get the top players". If this were to happen to me I would ask for a lawyer immediately. |

No. As long as the cashier had no clue what was in the package. That would be like holding the mailman responsible for delivering a letter with Anthrax in it. |

I would have to go with no. I mean sure the cops are going to try to make her assume some guilt. The more in the prison system the better right. I would think they would not even really mess to much with the cashier if she really knew nothing. But on top of that if it was that big of a deal, they would probably think to look at the social aspect of the boss and cashier relationship. I mean if you are partners in crime you probably go out for a beer at least once in a while right. So that would be the only way I would think they would try to nail cashier. If they persisted to much I would have to tell them"No I never knew what was in the box" Anything after that they would have to charge me and I would call a lawyer! |
