Care homes - why do we ship our oldest living relatives off to die in these money making sh*t holes? Out of sight out of mind? Why predominantly in UK/US also, is this the pinnacle of our selfish society? I wouldn't use the word sh*t hole in your essay though...... |

political correctness and its loop holes concerning Christians, and any Conservatives. for example it is politically incorrect to talk about Muslims in a slanderous way, but not about Christians. |

Okay, how about the scenario of an individual commiting a murder, or multiple murder, in the name of God (any god). What are the morals fighting against here when the individual can quite probably produce a quotation from the bible (I acknowledge that the bible is a manmade fabrication) which justifies his action ?.
His actions are based on the bibles ethics, but go against human morals ? |

you could write about fast food.....
its vital to the economy as the amount of investment runs into millions of pounds...
but should we overlook health issues for the sake of progress
you could look at it from a lot of different angles and there is a lot of information you could use for research
fast food nation is a great book on the subject |

Talk about those who dodge car insurance and how does that affects those who pay? And the implication of those victims of those un-insured drivers. However, I think this argument would be biased to one side only.
How about those yobs that keeps destroying bus stops...mmm... hard to think of justification for that either... |

Is it ok to start a relationship with an ex of a friend or family member no matter how long they have been split up? A moral issue which I am sure all of us have encountered at some point. |

Disability and the diffrence to the way society did look upon this issue and the diffrences we now have today. Intresting and shocking will need more than 3000 words by the time you have looked into it. |

How about all the chemicals and crap that is put into our food, make-up, cleaning products? I hear that cows are fed antibiotics because they are allergic to the wheat/grain they are fed...then we eat the cow and drink the milk...no wonder more people are allergic to milk and wheat etc.
The con of so called organic food..is it really organic, how much pesticide is still used on food given and organic label and high price. GM crops- right or wrong.
WE SHOULD HAVE THE RIGHT TO KNOW WHAT WE ARE CONSUMING! even if the labels show it - we should understand it- i dont know what thalf the chemiclas/ingredients are on the labels on things from antibacterial soap to bottle of fizzy drink. What is all this crap! How do the companies get away with it and what are the long term effects. The uk as a nation is getting fatter, more and more people use convenience food. More and more people have allergies.
Obviously you will need to back your essay up with facts and quotes ...none of which appear in my rant!
good luck! |

How about the morality of a Country (the UK) that imprisons criminals at a cost of over £40,000 per year, when we pay pensioners some who fought for the free world in WW2 £6000 per year (approx) in pension payments. Should we continue like this, or treat the criminals harsher and therefore at a lower cost. |

how about the ethics of denying free health care to drug users, smokers, overweight etc? highly discriminatory, or best way to get people to live healthy lifestyles? |

How about a free speech related one - at what point should the views of a political, religious or social organisation be repressed? Are there any views which, while not incitement to violence or hatred, might still be dangerous? |

What about the debate over whether fat people should get NHS services, or smokers, or alcoholics etc. I've always thought that interesting. But the first suggestion on Surrogacy is a good one too. Or stem cell research, or experimenting on animals/foetuses. Crikey. There's an argument... |

How about something like - whether a smoker should be treated on the NHS if they have been told by doctors to give up and they carry on regardless. Cost to NHS versus paid into NHS etc etc. |
