A kid keeps coming on my property. Can i get in trouble if he gets hurt?

So this kid keeps coming on to my property to get to the river that runs through my property, now what im wondering is if he falls in and drowns or basically gets hurt on my property what kind of trouble can i get into? Also he is not asking permission to come on to the property in the first place so am i still liable even if i do not know he is on the property. Because sometimes i don't know that he is there until my dog starts to freak out or until i see him walking off the property.
