A question about the existence of a law.?

Is there any federal law out there that exist that gives a normal person the right to enforce the law?

Example: 3 corrupt cops are trying to steal a gun from a person who legally has possession of that gun.

In that example. is there any law that exist that would give him the legal right to fire upon those officers because of there attempt to break the law? Also, if no such law exist. You can just state that, that would answer my question also.

For people that answer, i'm seeing evidence that shows that you can shoot the cops. FYI, supreme court rulings are considered law.

It is not legal to shoot ANYONE attempting to steal anything from you. Legal rights to self defense do not extend to protecting an object such as a weapon. Only defense of self or others is a defense.

On the other hand, if you draw a weapon and point it at a police officer, that officer has full authority to shoot YOU, because you are directly threatening him or others.

No. Your recourse is to let them have it, then go to court and sue for it's return.

Yes, it called Citizen arrest. But this can be only applied if the officer is present of the arrest. The citizen arrest clause is actually not really recommended by the law to seek crime and make an arrest. The police department feels that officers who are trained legally can make an arrest.
To shoot an officer is a crime no matter if they are in a illegal criminal act or not. That in itself would violate any citizen arrest you make on the officer. You need to report it to internal affairs if an officer is in a criminal act. They will do the investigation on the officer.

Yes, the Gun Control Act of 1968 makes it a felony to steal a firearm.
