Although we have the ability to abort the baby, we do NOT have the RIGHT.
I was at the March For Life at the beginning of this year. Some protest chick was out there (and I'm usually on the side of the protest people.....) with a sign saying: "If you outlaw abortion, I might die". SO apparently we're responsible for your irresponsibility and promiscuity??
There are organizations who will not only give you free counsel, they will help you pay for the doctor bills and find a decent home for the baby. There is no reason you should ever get an abortion. For those of you who say men have no right to tell a woman what to do with your body, what about all the men who pressure women into getting abortions when they don't really want to?
We kill over 1,000,000 babies a year. More babies have died from abortion in America than all the people in all the wars in U.S. history. Yet the same people protesting the Iraq War (which I don't support) want to support abortion. |

Personal decision.
First, not everyone follows your religion. So, arguments based on religion shouldn't be relevant in a legal discussion.
Second, the issue isn't whether abortion is right or wrong. Face it -- someone is going to make the decision whether a woman remains pregnant or not. It's either going to be her, or it's going to be the government. And it's none of the government's business.
If you want to speak, and lecture, and teach, and write books trying to convince people to choose they way you want them to, I fully support those efforts.
But I oppose anyone who tries to force their personal beliefs on someone else as a matter of law, against the other person's will. |

Neither right nor wrong. Such will be a personal choice until express laws will deemed punishisble conduct by doctors. Doctors(MDs) deem abortions correct surgical process. The AMA deems doctor assisted suicide out of bounds as well as assiting at death penalty lethal injections. Thereby, learned persons devouted to and bound by standards higher than right or wrong, deem abortions in bounds of not taking "human life".
Follow doctor's standard or lobby AMA to deem abortions outside allowed medical procedures. |

i think it is an individual choice.... and not for groups to come together to say what is right and what is wrong for a person |

Im a libertarian, so I think it is completely up to the person. Morally, i have no problem with it, i dont personally feel the death of a blastocyst or fetus, if you can call it death, is a big deal. By the way, for all those christians out there who say they believe this because of their faith, can you show me where in the bible it says the death of a fetus or blastocyst by abortion is a sin? If your answer is, that it is a human person, well that is debatable, as science has not yet proved or disproved consciousness, and the ability to feel pain in a fetus, but i forgot, to religion, science takes the back seat, its too rational and factual for them.
By the way, how can you be for the death penalty and pro life, i think that will baffle me for a long time. |

It's not my opinion or your god's, its the opinion of the woman who must make the decision. |

It's not a matter of right and wrong, it's a matter of whether you think a woman should have the choice... That's why the word is pro-choice, not pro-abortion, theres a difference between getting an abortion every time you get pregnant, and getting it once when the baby is sick, or the girl is 13...
Look babies are sometimes discovered to have diseases like Cystic Fibrosis, where the baby would die within a week, and doctors reccomend having it aborted... In that situation, do you say have the baby anyway, and allow it to go through hell for a few days before dying... Pro-Life my ***, that doesn't count as life...
Plus, what happened to seperation of church and state? God has no say in whether or not abortion is legal. |

Wrong for me personally. Cant' and won't tell another women what to do with her body. It has to be a individual choice. |

Who cares what "GOD" thinks. For christ's sake, if you were raped, what are you supposed to do - have this kid that you don't want and don't know who the father is? Get real.
"Yeah...This is my kid. I don't know who the father is and I was raped, but since I love God so much..." |

Neither. Abortions are an unfortunate reality. & whether they're legal or not- they're STILL going to happen. -Just like the unplanned & unwanted pregnancies that prompt them. |

It's a personal choice. A fetus is not a baby (human being) so it's not murder. I don't have a problem with it personally. |

Everyone is intitled to an opinion and usually it is based on their beliefs.
For me it is Wrong. It is not the child's fault at all. |

...my opinion is that opinions don't count in this matter...it's what she does that matters...and the fact of the matter is that whoever is faced with this choice needs prayer, love, and care...NOT JUDGEMENT. |

In cases of Rape, Incest, or if the mothers life is in Jeopardy. Then Abortion is OK. But if a girl just can't keep her legs closed then she should take responsibility. Too often women want to sleep around then when they get pregnant they think oh well i'll just get an Abortion. not all but some. I just think if she was just being careless she should face up to her responsibilities as should the Father. |

I agree it's wrong. If you get pregnant cuz of a crazy night out or something than it's just an easy way out of you being irresponsible and if its because of a rape then you should give it up for adoption like you said cuz everything happens for a reason and God still has a plan for that baby. |

It's neither right or wrong, it's simply tasty. I always use the bio-mass. We never throw a good abortion away! Plus since there is no such thing as god, there of course is no judgment. |

Wow, it's a tough question. But I believe it to be mainly a woman's issue therefore only women as a collective should be able to answer.
As a female of society, I believe it is a larger crime to keep an unwanted child that you do not love than it is to get an abortion. And incest and rape are very good reasons to have an abortion, incest would only strain a family and hurt the child's health. |

I think it's totally up to that person. I would always reccomend life. However, I would never pressure my loved on this situation. You will fell guilty as hell giving someone advise and then they kill the kid or something. |

I think that the decision to have an abortion is up the the woman. Right or wrong in the eyes of God is not my business- its Gods. The woman in question knows what she can handle emotionally and abortion may be the only option that she can deal with. If that's the case then God will deal with her in the manner he or she sees fit. |
