if you are on ss, and work. and you become disabled can you collect ss disability/ or do i just receive my normal ss check

i am 67 and receive social security . but now disabled and was wondering if i am eligable to receive disability?

First off, what are you getting the other ss check for? Because you're getting a check now, it may be very difficult for you to get it. SS are very picky about giving people disablility checks, and you will have to appeal it. A very slim percentage gets it off the bat. You can either consult with a lawyer that specializes in social security cases and see what they might be able to suggest to do. But the thing about it is I don't see how you would get a ss check and you're working anyways. So consult with a lawyer first. And go to the social security website. |
