If u were proven to be in the place where a murder happened, and u were proven to know the murderer and to see the crime in details, does the law u consider u as a truth-hider and punish u??

IF you witness a crime and do not report it, you can be charged with a variety of charges, such as conspiracy, accessory after or before the fact, etc. It depends on the nature of why you were there. If you are a shopper in a convenience store, for example, and someone comes in and commits a crime you would not be charged as accomplice, but you could be charged with obstruction of justice if you refuse to talk. |
