18 - If we can die for our country, we should be able to decide if we want to drink alcohol anyway. |

It should stay at 18 with smoking getting raised to 18
I do not understand people being annoyed at being allowed to drink at 5 in your own home with your parents permission, it has been the law for decades and you do not have parents getting 5 year old absolutely drunk. it is better that the parent is allowed to educate their child with drink |

it should be illegal.
its much more harmful than some other illegal drugs... |

It used to be 18. then 21... I think that is some what young still. People still don't know how to be responsible. Who knows the right age... |

18, as everyone else commented, if you can fight for your country, also i think being at the age of 21, does not stop anyone 18-20 from drinking, college students get a hold of alcohol all the time and aren't 21, and since they can not sit in a bar at 18-20, unfortunately many get the booze and ride around with their friends drinking it. more 18 to 20 year olds are picked up for DUI than adults over 21 in my area!! |

it should either be 18 or the age that you are considered an adult should be raised to 21. If you are considered an adult you should be able to do everything an adult can do. |

21 at least. But smart people will realize that your body will survive just fine without any alcohol. There is no RDA for alcohol because it isn't a nutrient. It's going to hurt you, lower the quality of your life, destroy your internal organs, make those who use it and their friends and family cry, and take a few years off your life. Please wake up, people. :( |

It should stay as it is;
18 to purchase alcohol or to drink in a pub
5 to drink at home or in a licensed restaurant |

In the home, I see no reason why children should not sample small amounts of alcohol as they are growing uo.
If they see parents & visitors drinking at home & they are deprived, my view is that does more harm & they are more likely to go out & drink at the earliest age possible.
The legal age for drinking in public places should in my view be raised to 21 as excessive alcohol does damage the body & a lot of people do binge drink which is dangerous.
I suppose people need to be educated.. |

I think that the Smoking and Drinking age should be 25. I also think that people who are actually serving in the military should be able to get both at age 18 (when they are on leave, of course). |
