Disagree. IMHO children were better behaved and more polite when they were occasionally subject to a little parental discipline that included an occasional spanking where warranted.

Yes, you are wrong. It is not illegal to spank a kid, it is illegal to leave marks on the kid from the spankin.

Now, I am not saying beating your kid until they have red marks, but kids today are so out of control because of people like you.

You are entitled to your opinion and I think you are very biased becasue of your background, which is understandable. However, there is a difference between molestation, abuse and disciplining a child. Get a dictionary and look up the definitions.

Well, I don't agree with you. I don't think one should pull pants down and spank on bare skin, but sometimes children need spankings, outside of their pants. I got spankings. Well, I got the belt on my bare bottom. Nowadays, if anybody got that, the parents would be in jail. I'm no worse for wear from it. i love my parents very much and we have a great relationship. It ISN'T molesting a child to give a spanking.

I feel you are taking this too far.

Yes it is wrong I am sorry for your abuse but to spake a child teaches them boundries, Not all children need to be spanked but some do and I dont think that I am doing physical or emotional harm to them. They all love me and we have a very tight relationship the difference between me and alot of parents out there that do not spank is that my children have respect, not only for me but themselves and others around them. If you were to not do anything that a child doesn't want you to do them where would these children be in 15 years? I would not want to try and set boundries on a person just entering adulthood that has never had boundries before. It would be a very dangerous world. Everybody has rules and consequences if rules are broken. People do not obey the laws because they are there they obey them because of the consequences. Just as a child does.

i grew up with this spanking and there is nothing wrong with it my grandsons are out of control if my daughter doesn't do this now there are people who out of control with this and do abuse the children i don't believe we are child molesters or abusers its every ones opinion i very rarely ever spanked mine i just took away their favorite activities or they had more chores to do

there is a HUGE difference between discipline and abuse.Obviously what you went through is unacceptable but my mother used to gently slap my hand when idid things that were bad and it taught me not to do them again.

My kids grew up on the straight n narrow.
You see, there is a difference in touching n spanking.
There is a difference in spanking n hitting a child.
We would not have current issues with brats if parents had not looked for the easy way out (my brat is in school, it is the schools responsability to teach...)

I agree that you are wrong.. Child molesters are completely different then what you apparently think.. this ignorance you have is what brings our society down. Spanking does not help for every child, but i can say it did for myself.. I think open handed spanking on a clothed butt if fine.

there is a difference between spanking a child and beating a child. i think not enough kids get spanked these days. the younger generation takes a lot of stuff for granted, they are rude ( a lot of the times) and they have no respect for other people. it is NOT illegal to spank a child and yes, you are wrong.

Dont have any kids. We have enough brats with confused parents who had bad parents as it is. The confused, abused, sparingtherod,generation X , population is causing enough issues.

Its not illegal in the usa. in some states teachers can actually spank high school kids for not having hw. it is disgusting.

Yes you are wrong, but with good reason. You have not seen moderation in discipline, and you obvously have been failed by the education system. I wish you well but try and get over your past and get on with your life, maybe you could go back to school and catch up on what you missed out on when you were a child.
