if your voice recording some one can some one explain to me more about the one Party thing? so like does the person that is being recorded have to know and give consent?

It's called 'one party consent'.
Oregon allows a phone conversation to be recorded with only one of the two parties consent (knowledge).
If you call John Doe and want to record the conversation, so long as John Doe also lives in a 'one party consent' state, then it's legal. If you want to record John Doe when he calls John Smith and neither of them knows they are being recorded, then that's illegal.
When you are recording a phone conversation, two people are being recorded, as long as one of them knows they are being recorded and they give you consent to record them, then it is legal. |
