If the Miss America contest required the contestants to have identical political views to the gay activist judge, why didn't they just say so up front and disqualify her before the contest?

According to Hilton, one isn't allowed an opinion, even if one is asked one's opinion (unless it agrees with his). Was she supposed to lie?
To any thinking person, Miss California won the pageant! North Carolina can have her crown; California will have her dignity and integrity. |

Well they say one in 10 people are gay. Therefore coming out with this statement on TV was as dumb move on her part, where winning involved getting the popular vote. It's something she should have kept quiet imo.

Should she have lied ? Yes - if she wanted to win. It would be the same if someone had asked her "What do you think of disabled people" and she had answered "I hate them, they are just lazy". My point is it's a popularity contest and if you alienate a whole (prety large) section of soceity don't expect to win. |
